Pete played at my university's Summer Ball yesterday morning. I was part of the security team, so got to see a bit of him soundchecking, where he started to request a sandwich pretty loudly which was amusing.
A friend of mine then had the pleasure of escorting him around the ball after he'd finished. Looked like quite a hard job as he kept a fair pace

Thanks for posting here Sarge' We heard he really enjoyed himself...
All the fun of the fair etc. and the gig itself of course. There were very good reports of the professionalism of the whole set up - stage, sound etc. and I have no doubt that included the security arrangements. From what we hear everyone enjoyed HIM too... par for the course.

He'll be asking for his dressing room to be painted red next LOL Heard the gig went really well and that Pete went on the dodgems afterwards Thanks for the snippet Sgt - much appreciated. |

I notice that the full version of cosmonaught has been removed from petes my space. Hopefully means that the release date will be soon. Got to try and work out how to use Itunes first. looks a bit hard to understand - or am i just thick .Actually dont answer that. I might not like the reply lol |

Since I doubt Heat'll be paying me for my story anytime soon, I can reveal that Pete mentioned Tuna in his musical sandwich request.
I've heard he did indeed go on the dodgems, but apparently waited in-line rather than accept an offer to skip the queue. For any 'The Automatic' fans out there, they out-diva'd Pete by requesting a David Hasselhoff shrine in their dressing room .

Yep, that sounds like Pete!
he also went on a big wheel type ride as well! I can remember reading somewhere of an occasion when he was on a night out and the bar staff kept offering him free drinks but he kept refusing.

Thank you Sarge, yup we've all heard before how Pete refuses the special treatment, he's a diamond. Which reminds me last gig I was at Pete thanked the staff of the venue on stage, for their hard work.
Sounds like he had a ball the other night, wish I could have been there. |

i agree calmwaters, i've met him a few times now and each time he has taken the time to have photos taken and chat to people even at 4 in the morning at one gig when he looked really exhausted. Just goes to show what a lovely and genuine lad he is and i think thats one of the qualities that we admire and respect him for. Pete is one gorgeous guy.

Its so nice when you meet somebody you admire and they live up to all your expectations..its even better when, as in Petes case, they surpass them ..

Of course he would win had it been this year instead. I think last year he had more competition as many of the housemates were likeable and entertaining, yet he never moved from the number one favourite for a minute, I believe it would have been the same this year.
I think that I heard Big Brother say once that they specifically pick the housemates that they put in to contrast and compliment one another, so who knows how it would have gone down this year, but Pete's charisma is obvious and can be overwhelming, I doubt his popularity would have been any weaker this year. It's been said lots of times that every man, woman and child just fell in love with him last year - as I think they would have this year. |
