Iam still around !!!! no laptop anymore so have to get a look-in on my sons computer. Can get on p.p.com but wont let me in

Still supporting him though and read whats going on, I heard he is doing a gig and Simondo is getting a coach for everyone. I am missing everyone on the site and am keeping an eye out for a gig that I can go to.

At least I can come on here.......will try and download firefox on this computer so I can go onto the forum and chat.

Hi everyone Ive booked my tickets for Petes 02 gig on the 8th Oct. Was abit worried my friend wouldnt be able to come with me when the date was changed, but she is fine with it and I wont have to travel home on my own. It willbe interesting for me because she doesnt really know who Pete is apart from what Ive told her. I wonder what she will make of him..

I'm sure your friend will love Pete...I went to the Gay Pride festival in Brighton with my sister in law and she was adament she wasnt going to be interested in Pete or anything to do with him..

Since briefly meeting him she has commented several times about what lovely eyes he has and how friendly he was...and is now coming with me to the O2

I know everyone's going to have the time of their lives at Pete's O2 gig on October 9th.

I'm not in the least surprised that your sister-in-law warmed to Pete so quickly Rosemary.

I've never heard of a single person who's met him and hasn't been impressed by his warmth and friendliness. Don't think he's got an enemy in the world....

(a few sad sideline detractors whose own lives must be very barren - but no real enemies....)

Ok zu I will rise to the bait. Although I agree that Pete on the outside world probably doesn't have any enemies you would be surprised how jealous your own family can be. Brother(s), sister(s), Mother(s), Father(s), half sister(s), half brother(s), cousin(s) etc. can be.................... As someone on the receiving end me, who has nothing to shout about it's really horrible. Really lovely people like Pete don't realize how awful families can be. Someone has to watch out for him!!! I think we all do that. Devil's advocate springs to mind.

Sorry, spending time with my Mother is difficult. Did you like your Father she said? I adored the ground he walked on as did his sister said I. Woops wrong answer I think.....

I remember Pete saying one of his main reasons for wanting to go on to BB in the first place was to help raise awareness for the condition...so I's say that is pretty much misssion accomplished

Thats a brilliant article Rosemary, thanks for sharing it. I am so proud of Pete. Its nice to read an article based on him as a person and what he has achieved rather than the usual tabloid rubbish. Pete doesnt claim to be anything other than himself and because TS is such a part of him, its nice that its a positive reflection on him and its truthful.

Unless you have the condition, there is no way you can know how difficult his life is so to read that is very warming.

WE know - but lots of others don't, what Pete's been up to over the past year... all those who say he's "disappeared" - just haven't been looking in the right places.
Maybe they've had their noses in gossip mags or scouring the photo agency sites for pics of drunken wannabees falling out of sad parties..... he'll never be found there!

Isn't this a rather agist comment? And very generalised. That just because I, as a middle-aged (or older - maybe in your opinion) person don't go and see Pete in concert doesn't mean I'm not "lightened up". I often go to rock concerts and festivals and can let my hair down with the best of them - we introduced our kids to the delights of Osfest and they will often now buy us tickets for the latest band that their into. So please don't make assumptions about us geriatrics on DS, that we can't enjoy ourselves just because we don't go and see Pete.

By-the-way, I'm really pleased for you that you do enjoy his concerts, that's great. Just don't get personal about others who don't.

Petes gigs are for every one...and they arent about putting anybody down ..or getting one over on anybody..they are just about have a blooming good time..whoever you are
