here's the skydive:

and one of their lovely little pet ratties had a tragic accident a fortnight ago -they were devastated.
His latest print was a tribute to Muffin - and here's a little vid he did too...

HI zuzu's,

I can count on you

I did make a start on Facebook but didnt think I would go on it very much so I havent got it up and going, although, it was strange because my name is completely different so that my sons didnt track it down and the other day Pete Bennett was asking to be a friend

Watched the skydive, bless him, he looked liked he truly loved every minute. I just loved his rat muffy, I have never been keen on rats but muffy looked adorable

Thank you so much zuzu's, lots of love to you

Long time since I've been here - but for most of us there is life outside DS

Just popping in... and swatting the moths away... to let you know that Pete's one-man-show:
"Tourettes and stuff" is doing exceptionally well at the Edinburgh Fringe.
He's posting nightly on facebook about his shows and sharing his feelings - in his usual candid style - about how it's all going.

Here's an independent review (scroll down to bottom) from the Edinburgh Festival Guide:

Is there no Pete Bennett fans left on Digital Spy?

Hardly any posts in 5 years with a few 3 years ago. Did he fizzle out that badly?

Might be an odd bump but I remember the days of BB7.

I'm surprised too that this thread has had few postings. I loved Pete. He's had more than his fair share of tragedy, with loss of various friends which badly affected him. However, now 32 he looks great and is doing better - officially drug free since December and even says nowadays his Tourettes has virtually gone! . Good on you Pete.

Omg .......thank you so much for posting, poor pete has had so much go wrong in his life, drugs unfortunately plagued him and some of the friendships around him. Anyone who supported pete were known as the twonkers and ds was a very busy place whilst he was in the bb house, especially his breakup with nikki. Iam so glad that he has beaten his deamons and that his tourettes has virtually gone. I went to several of his gigs when he came out of the house and he was a lovely person. He will always be my no.1 bb housemate

Mine too and reading that article, things got pretty grim for a while, so was so pleased to hear he'd overcome so much! Pete definitely had his fans on here back in the day, and I just loved him and found him naturally funny. My favourite has to be him and Glyn mucking about with all the buttons on automated Big Brother..... I wish I could find a clip! Anyway, now we know all this, it's clear that all the wacky, OTT behaviour he was sometimes accused of, was masking a lot he was dealing with.

I actually brought the whole series on cd done by someone privately and I gave it away to a member on here who was a big nikki supporter, looking back I wish I had kept it because there were many funny moments and I would actually watch it again ! He always seemed to me to try and keep everyone happy and as we know its impossible to do that in the bb house.

Spotted this thread on the first appreciation page and just had to say something.

I actually recorded virtually the whole series of BB7 on VHS tape and they still dominate one of my cupboards. Can't bring myself to get rid of them. That was the best BB ever imo. And 'I'm still on top of the world' because Pete won

Sorry to hear Pete's homeless, yet he sounds determined to stay clean and is hopeful of new opportunities. He's been through a lot of tragedy at a young age; I found his account of the loss of his friends very moving. I hope he can keep on track - I've always had huge respect for him and how he's managed to overcome so much. DS has an interview on its main page. Come on Pete.

Yes, I saw him on Jeremy Kyle show and he still looks a lost soul to me as he did in the BB house, I still take an interest in what he is up to but did'nt realise he had got into such a desperate situation, surely he should receive some help as it must be difficult to get a job with tourettes. I hope everything turns out ok for him and will have a look at his site that he had going a while back but iam guessing as he is homeless the internet it the last thing he is worried about.

He never was really allowed to do anything for BBOTS or Big Brother Little Brother as it was then because of his swearing but you look at it now and the language is disgusting sometimes.

Good Luck Pete. Jules x.

There are rumours that Pete may actually have some involvement with the house and I am looking forward to seeing him - about time they let him have some limelight

Yep, I think so, Charmer. Folk kindly sent me images of his book signings as I couldn't make them. Used to follow the chats too when he'd suddenly pop into the conversation out of the blue.

Thanks so much. A series highlight for me. It was the way Pete whirled in like a one man tornado! Nicky couldn't contain a squeal of delight! Best of all was the look of complete bewilderment on Cristian's face - who the eff is THAT?! Fancy not knowing our Pete!

Yes and you could tell they still had great chemistry. Ohhh, I must admit I'd forgotten their appearance on the JR show, but did see it. Guests back then had much longer to chat. I found the clips - fascinating watching them again. It makes you appreciate how far Pete's come in managing to suppress his tics.

omg thank you so much, that takes me down memory lane, I can remember everyone looking at their movements, that they were not sitting near to each other, they were not holding hands.....it was so funny. I agree looking at Pete then he was really struggling to control his tourettes, bless him. I cant imagine how it must feel to not be in control of yourself but he certainly has come along way.
