I wonder if Leonamania will start a new trend in sober, ladylike, classy, stylish singers - a great antidote from the Lily Allens, Pete Dochetys, Robbie Williams and Amy Winehouses...

My favourites are Take a Bow and I Will Be. I like the bits in I Will Be where she sings "I would never let you go" before entering the chorus. And the bit where she sings the phrase "strong enough"(the onw where she sings in three voices , if you know what I mean!) in Take a Bow.

The problem is, as the Live Lounge proved most obviously, she is so far ahead of anyone else in this country that she needs to leave as soon as possible.

If she continues on in this vein, there may be a backlash from other british artists, they may start to become jealous.

The jealoust of this "reality" winner being so good will sink in soon enough...but then again groups like sugababes put up with groups like Girls Aloud..will young, lemare etc etc all have survived-but like you say..none have been as "wow" as Leona!

Plus the media will build her up non stop. Then when it suits them they will try and rip it all apart. She should probs get out before they turn on her!

You know how the music "ellite" are like. But you know what, Leona will sell more, for sure, than Lily Allen will ever in the US..... As for Amy Winehouse...... Well..... do I need to say anything about that? Leona will live, that's all I'm saying.

I know you were just using Lily Allen as an example, but Lily has posted on her myspace saying she loves Leona and that she's great! I can't see her going back on that anytime soon.

The only downside to Leona's success is it has to slow down at some stage. She's like a steam engine at the most with chart entries, good reviews, big sales, exciting 'Bond' rumours, fashion shots. Soon it will be awards.... the vultures will circle again when one of her songs misses the no.1 or she gets a bad review or an obscure family member dishes some dirt.

I know - pessimistic view. What I'm trying to say is ... we need to enjoy and appreciate this current euphoria and positive vibe.

and then there's the US breakthrough to watch with interest.

Can I just say a big thanks to spiidey for the better quality versions of the songs! "Homeless" has really grown on me since I downloaded your version as you can properly hear the music better. I'd put it on par with "FITS" now as I love them both equally.
