The Blender article was interesting and we now have some numbers.

$1m recording costs
$1.5m video costs
$1m promotion

It makes sense for Syco to fund it since the $-£ exchange rate effectively halves all the costs.

The video budget is huge.

Yes it was interesting
I think they may come a cropper on their projected sales of 7- 9 million tho

I think 7 million is easily within reach, its only been out 3 months internationally.

Single sales would have covered all those costs on their own.

I agree, I think 7 million is easily within reach and I'd predict she'll be just over the 6 million mark by the end of the year.

Another 1 million in 2009 is definitely achievable and I wouldn't be surprised if Spirit eventually settled right in the middle of that 7-9 million range.

whoa, let's not get ahead of ourselves, I think when it's all said and done 5 million is the most realistic figure.

I loved that meet & greet video, she is so sweet . Great piece in Blender as well, very well written.

aww, Silvia's blushing. lol, she should be taller than me, but i don't think Leona's wearing her crazy heels here, like she was at the q concert--i think she would've needed to bend down if i were even able/allowed to get a pic standing next to her

I'm not sure its really getting ahead of ourselves, I just really think Spirit will hit that figure.

However, the company execs will have a better idea than any of us!

Thanks for that.

I make her on about 3.835 million total Album sales - she should pass 4 million in the next 2 weeks.

On the single chart (points) she scored another week @ #2 and 289 points - that puts her at #15 in the all time top achievements list She'll make the top 10 of that chart in 2 weeks time

Overall AI's up AGAIN from 137.766m to 138.145m (+0.379m).

She's +0.836m for the week, Lil Wayne is finally dropping, he's -0.902m

Any chance Leona could break the 140m barrier?
