There's almost as many shows over here she could go on which are equivalent to the daytime shows she's been doing in the States.. We may have a smaller population but we all have 24 hours a day to broadcast
Why is it okay to do 'stupid' American daytime shows but not 'stupid' British daytime shows?
I'm getting a bit fed up of the way she spends 1/2 week(s) promoting a single over here. Maybe do 1 live performance and 1 mimed performance, then she beggers off to the states for months on end doing countless gigs, tv shows and promoting etc..
Simon is just capitolising on the fact that it was we the British public who voted in our millions for her to win and feels he's already secured our market with her - he knows she has a huge fan base over here already established so he just comletely ignores them..”
I agreed with what you were saying until you used the "buggering off to America" comment.
How exactly has she been there for months on end?
She was there in March/April to promote BL and Spirit which done the job - she needed to appear on a number of shows there to get herself known.
She's been sporadically in the states since then - Just Stand Up, and then to promote BIT for a week.
The rest of the time, she's jetting between various other countries and continents, doing gigs, radio and TV performances.
If you are expecting her to give the majority of her time to the UK then you are very naive - there are many markets out there and I'm sure not just Clive Davis or whoever, but also Leona herself, wants to be a successful world-wide - and there is no way that can be achieved by spending the majority of the promotional time in the UK.
We got a month of BL and Spirit promotion, and a week of BIT promotion - what more do you want?
We'll get another week of FM promotion and probably same for Spirit: The Deluxe Edition. Other than the US, the UK has had the most promotion of any country.
