Therefore, the audio impact may have been limited....I dunno, I never and would never buy Ray's stuff. However, Leon, The Voice, is a different kettle of fish. People compare him to GG, but again, Leon's voice and tonal quality is, IMO, so much more distinctive and appealing. Leon isn't baby faced the way Ray was....that's also a help.

I guess I think Leon could sell really, really quite well....with the right songs. Simon has already clicked with the Buble thing.

I genuinely believe that Leon has far more selling power than Ray.”

I agree with you, I wasn't keen on Ray and Leon's voice is a lot powerfull

I don't think Leon is much like Ray at all. He is far more jazz than swing, and is able to adapt to other genres of music much more comfortably. Although I don't agree with the argument that an act has to show there versatility. The first two series of XF had no theme weeks and was better for it.

Anyway, I digress, Ray was always going to be a one album wonder - a pressie for mothers day. Purely because he is all style and no substance. Leon has real substance.

'Card' - no....just means 'funny....comedian'.

So your mum will have been voting for the MacD's last year then?

You know what worries me now, is that with Leon being 2nd fave people may think he is safe and not vote as much?

Most people won't even be aware of the bookies odds...

I thought Ray was good, but always a West End stage man rather than a recording star. I mostly agree with your comments however, Muttley

I think your spot on about Rhydian. He's been the favourite throughout and has peaked. I feel kinda sorry for him though, as it must be a helluva lot of pressure to try and constantly maintain that standard. I also think people forget that he is still one of the youngest contestants along with Leon

Don't be worrying you lot - just keep up the positive Neon glow on the thread and then run up a massive phone bill next Saturday .

Most of my favourites end up finishing second and I'm always gutted! I really, really think that Leon will get a record deal whatever happens, though, and odds on I reckon it will be Simon behind the deal.

The Leon glow plus one extremely annoying Mother have caused me to forget my home - like a wee holiday over here .
