It sure does! So bad to laugh at that but Sharon has obviously had a few as well! I love her when shes like that! She said at the press conference her comments where part of a comedy sketch...lol yea sure Sharon!

Luckily Leon escaped without getting the Graham Norton treatment!

Don't you worry about that lot CC!!!!! We'll be here, whether Leon wins that show or not!

They are saying he can't sing (which is clearly crap) because a) they have another fave or b) they really don't like him....whatever.

We know he can sing....and no-one has ever done what he has done. That boy's journey has been phenomenal.....no-one will ever have that kind of XF journey again.

He's special, that Leon Jackson. Special, he is.

Surely Sharon realizes that what Dannii is meant to have said about her in the press is not necessarily true. I notice that Sharon and Dannii hardly ever communicate with each other on the judges' panel.

I think that kind of says it all, I mean GN only picks on people for the fun of it, so he clearly can find nothing to criticise Leon for, a bit of a compliment really.

Still, I didn't like GN - I think he's very sly.

What annoys me Arty is Will could not dance he can now, Westlife were useless tour one now they can dance their socks off, but it is one step at a time, get the singing right, this lad has been thrown it all, dance, sing, new songs, old songs, songs he never heard, and yet he is still here, that says an awful lot about this nervous kid.
I do not want Leon on stage first, second would be fine, just not to open the show.

The disservice done to Leon has been the song choices, the range he has is much better than one monotonal songs, he proved this with Home, when you get into this song shows his real voice, warm, touches your heart, and then builds to a voice that can give so much more, and Simons slatting really made me sick.

I do not think he has been given the best songs, but hey I nearly died when I read Re Light My Fire and yet he stole the show for me on that song.

I will need my gloves on Sat so I dont bite all my nails.

Can anyone tell me where I can listen to Leons two songs from last week please?

Considering some of the supposed talent on Any Dream Will Do he is a fine one to be criticising acts on the X Factor.

I'm guessing that GN is a Leon fan.

Fred Astaire arrived in Hollywood at the age of 35 and received this comment from a Paramount Studios executive after one of his first auditions. He had the comment card framed and hung on his wall for the rest of his career to remind him that inauspicious starts need not discourage those who truly believe. Remember, talented is just a fancy way of saying 'hard working'.”

Sonchoices for Leon has been a major bone of contention with me and others on here this series. I dont think Dannii has put as much thought into his songchoices as she has with others. Some of Leon's best performances like You Dont Know Me, Home and Crazy Little Thing Called Love have been all choices pushed through by Leon. Relight My Fire worked well though it isnt the type of song that I would like Leon to sing all the time. Leon has wanted to sing Last Request by Paolo Nutini since the series began but was told Nutini wasnt well known enough. Some on here have made far better choices for Leon though I suppose Cowell has a set list of songs that Dannii must choose from. Just riles me when I hear that Dannii fought with Louis Walsh to get You Raise Me Up for Rhydian to sing. I wish she had done the same for Leon at times.

It was actually from a thread on here that the downloads from last week were made available. I am sure someone has the links to them.

Disgraceful! I take it she doesn't like the other contestant then.

I have a friend who lives in Swansea. She likes SD, but has become a big fan of Leon's in the last three weeks or so, and wants him to win. I've been spreading the Leon neon glow.

New interview fron XF site

Quote:
“Up close with… LeonLeon tells us how it feels to be the first Scot to reach the X Factor final and reveals that he’s already started writing tracks for his debut album…

How does it feel to come this far in the competition?

Fabulous! Amazing! Absolutely fantastic! I never thought in a million years I would be in the final. First Scot in the final ever! And (does his best Andy impression) my head’s going like that, like… Just a fantastic feeling.

How nervous are you about the grand final?

I’ve got a couple of days to get nervous yet! I’m just going to go out all guns blazing and gie it laldy, as they say. I’m a winner already, I feel. I am going to go out there and fight for that number one spot.

You’re so close you can almost taste it…

We’ve had wee tasters of that celebrity lifestyle, and it’s just been fantastic. I’m not getting too used to expectation; my attitude is, if you don’t win, you go back to your regular life. It makes you fight for your opportunity.

What’s been the best thing about your entire X Factor experience?

Meeting Michael Bublé and singing with him at Wembley. I can’t believe that I’ve been on stage at Wembley at 18 years old; I’ve only been singing for ten months. That’s been the best thing.

What was your favourite performance from all the shows?

Singing You Don’t Know Me was a big turning point for me. I feel I raised the bar and took it to a different stage vocally, and the judges credited me for that. It helped me get as far as the final. I sang it into the old-style microphone, and it had such an impact, that one is pretty special to me. And because I’m jazz based, it was brilliant.

And your favourite comments from the judges?

Simon Cowell saying, “by any standards, Leon, that was incredible”.

How about the worst comments?

Simon Cowell said, in the first week, “I feel, Leon, you’ve took the place of someone else who deserves to be here”. But every comment spurs you on to prove yourself.

Were there moments when you felt like packing it all in and heading home?

Probably the most uncomfortable moment for me was when I was doing the first week’s choreography with Brian. I’m not saying I would’ve packed it all in, but I definitely wanted to be as far away from that room as I could get at that point of time. I thought, I can’t cope with this. It was bad enough learning to dance by myself, never mind having five dancers there watching me! But it got me there in the end.

You’ve met so many famous faces; who left you utterly star-struck?

Meeting Michael Bublé, it’s got to be. I was sitting there with my jaw on the floor. Niki pointed him out because he’d just come up to the side of the stage. And I was like, “Ohmigod! There he is! Michael, I love you!”

How would you celebrate winning the competition?

Just go and get steaming, sir!

What tracks would you like included on your first album?

Barbie Girl, DJ Jones, C’est La Vie… the classics. Nah, I’d like to have original songs on the album, I’d like to be a singer singer. I’ve had a go at writing, and I’ve got a lot of half-ideas. I’d like to be like Paolo Nutini.

Leon's two songs from last week are on You Tube. Key in Leon - X Factor
You have to scroll down quite a bit to get to them though.

Read that earlier Maeve. Great interview. One of the great frustrations for me this series is that we never got to hear Leon sing Last Request.
