I Hope Kylie Wears Her Gold Hot Pants For Our Final Duet
SCOTS X Factor finalist Leon Jackson admitted he can't get Kylie Minogue's gold hot pants out of his head.
The 18-year old crooner is duetting with the Aussie pop babe in tomorrow night's live showdown.
But he confessed the skimpy outfit Kylie wore in her Spinning Around video has got his head in a whirl.
Last night he said: "I'm hoping she might wear those gold hot pants on stage with me.
"But just like the title of her song, I should be so lucky!"
The trio of surviving acts will each perform 3 songs as they battle it out for the top spot - a Christmas psecial, a favourite tune and a celebrity duet.
Leon - of Whitburn, West Lothian will join Kylie, 39, to sing her 1990 hit, Better The Devil You Know.
Kylie will make a spectacular entrance on the back of a motorbike. She will also sing her new single Wow as the ITV show draws to a climax.
But amazingly Leon won't even get to meet the pop princess for rehearsals until tomorrow morning.
He revealed: "I haven't even spoken to her yet. It's a bit worrying but I've been practising my bit of the song over and over, as I'm just singing the Male harmony.
"She's a talented superstar, and I used to sing along to her stuff on the radio - I really loved Can't Get You Out Of My Head."
Leon reckons he's hitting top form just in time for the grand showdown. He said: "Usually I've had problems remembering the lyrics and that's meant I've had doubts towards the end of the week.
"But I'm feeling absolutely great this week, even though I've had two extra songs to learn.
"Every week I've upped my game and I do really think I'll hit my peak.
"If I put in 100% and I couldn't have done any better, that's all that matters.
"This time I'm going to smile and just have fun with it on stage."
Leon has the whole country supporting him as the first ever Scot to make the X Factor final.
He said: "It's fantastic to think that Scotland is behind me - I just hope I can do the whole country proud. But I don't want people to vote for me just because I'm Scottish - I want them to do it for my performance and voice. I want to win this based on talent alone."
Hunky Leon still can't believe the leap he has made since singing for the first time to an audience at a local karaoke club back in January.
He said: "This whole journey has been like a fairytale.
"I'm just an ordinary lad who's not long left school and find's himself in the final of the country's biggest singing contest.
"Just being here. I'm a winner in my own eyes."
Leon - Who's mentored by Kylie's sister Dannii, 36 will battle it out with Welsh warbler Rhydian Roberts and brother/sister duo Same Difference. After the first three songs there will be a public vote and the top two acts will then perform the X Factor single When You Believe.
The winner will release the song via download at midnight tomorrow, before it hits the shops on Wednesday.
Leon said: "It's a beautiful song, the lyrics really relate to our journey on the show. It's a power ballad with a Christmas feel - everybody will love it."
Fans can support Leon live on TV as X Factor cameras will be at Edinburgh's George Square Theatre and be part of the boradcast.
But only 500 fans can get in - with seats going on a first come first served basis.
And Leon has a finla message for his thousands of supporters. He said: "I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has voted for me so far.
"You've gone out of your way to spend your hard-earned money on me - especially at Christmas time when I know it's tight.
"My Birthday is coming up in the next couple of weeks and Winninf the X Factor would be the ultimate Birthday present in one.
"It would be a fantastic end to the best year of my life."
