The Same Difference Christmas
Sarah: “Sean and I usually have a gig on Christmas Eve, but we still get up ridiculously early on Christmas morning. We open all our presents and go out and visit all the family members who have kids, to give them presents. It’s like being Santa! Then we all have Christmas lunch, with a glass of sherry, before sitting down and watch the Queen’s speech. My nan and granddad and mum and dad take it really seriously. Sometimes me and Sean find it hard to keep a straight face and we have a problem trying to sit down and be quiet, so my mum’s always like, ‘Stop talking! The Queen’s speech is on!’”
Sean: “It’s such a spiritual holy day, I love it. We all sit round and give thanks and then pull crackers and have all the trimmings, it’s lovely innit?”
Sarah: “But Christmas to me is the big round tubs of cheese balls and twigletsAs soon as Christmas comes along you have those, and cheeselets. And don’t forget the Holidays Are Coming Coke ad on TV!”.
