EOTS is unlike any other song they sing, and in fact unlike anything else currently being played on the radio. you're right- too much of the kind of song which hasn't been arranged professionaly or harmonically and is more focussed on giving 3 of them the chance to "hip-thrust" and prance about breathlessly will most certainly never earn them new fans.
It's impossible to overdo songs in the style of EOTS because they haven't sung anything similar to it before and it's quite a unique song itself.
Here's a challenge which will probably never come to fruition but may stress the point I'm trying to make:
Take recordings of SSD and EOTS to several top songwriters and record labels and see which song gets the most attention. Fans are only part of the equation- they eventually move on when they get bored with the same material gig after gig. Interest from the bigwigs in the music industry is what will make a significant impact on the future of where ER go from here. And right now SSD isn't going to get them past the guard dogs of any top names, let alone inside the door.
