Well my O.H wont go anywhere near it .

He will take any route rather than touch it if he can

Did you know Chris Rea wrote " The Road to Hell" while trapped on it

Barring accidents, I would have thought the early hours of the morning were the ideal time to be travelling on the M25. Definitely a much better time than 4pm onwards on a Friday afternoon.

Well I never knew that......I nearly stoped the car, got out and lay down in the central reservation.....there's nothing worse than being stuck in a jam you have no idea the length of lol

Its a friendly beginners class.

Anyone can join and Karen's idea is to make dancing accessible to everyone

Some of us have been there a while , but anyone who needs a bit of extra help usually gets it .

She does tend to work you hard , and you may think at first that you will never get it , but you do

I was a total non-dancer when I started , but won the best improvers back in July after 6 months attending

Karen however isn't at every class. usually she is at the first and then sometime during the course and at the end.

She does however arrange for her friends such as Nicole Cutler , Matthew Cutler and Brendan to teach us occasionally.

She is off to Australia and New Zealand to judge in the new year so not sure when in January classes will start

Saw it on Breakfast News (I knew watching that Turnbull fella would prove useful sometime )

We were the lucky ones , as when Karen first started her class ( a year ago , In a Church Hall) we had her teaching us every week

Hi Defus - Welcome to the forum.

I too attended the Ball and know very well the perils of travelling on the M25 on a Friday evening.

What should have been a one-hour journey, took us over two and a half hours.

As the evening was such a success it was worth every minute of waiting in a huge traffic jam.

I'm just popping in to say 'wow' to Mark and Karen's second dance on Saturday (as in - I was on the floor clutching a cushion and yelping every time they swung their hips .... and later melted into a little heap of protoplasm ..!).

I have loved this couple since the start (although shamefully I don't think I've ever posted in this thread! But you're not alone since I didn't post in the Carol and Matthew thread either and I was in their corner from the start, too!).

I'm also a Darren and Emma fan and would like to assure all that just because you're a fan of one couple (or in some cases, more!) doesn't mean that you needlessly abuse others. I certainly don't and I know I'm not in the minority.

Anyway, just to say - I shall be watching on Saturday with my eyes closed during the results (and my hands over my ears!). And I shall be praying to every deity I know that Mark and Karen get through again - because they deserve it! Absolutely fantastic partnership, wonderful, engaging, exciting dances (well, okay, there's been the odd 'blip'. But no-one's perfect!) and great chemistry.

Keep going, Mark and Karen!!!

Hi Cally's mum - thanks for saying that it has got a bit daft on this forum recently I almost feel like I am in a playground having my hair pulled!

Your saturday night of nerves sounds as bad as mine, although if your a supporter or both that must be hell, twice the risk of disappointment!

It was worse! Because my other long-time favourites (also from day one) were Carol and Matthew!!!! I hated that they went!

I was just so relieved when Mark and Karen were the third couple to be told they were staying - but that pitted my other two favourites against each other ... *sigh*

Yeah - your analogy sounds about right about the playground and having your hair pulled! Thank goodness I cut mine shorter!

haha I know what you mean. I am the only forumite who goes to parties/classes who hasn't danced with her yet. Strange seeing as I am the hugest fan It might just happen one day. I did get the pleasure of dancing with her husband a couple of times though.

Parties are held after every 8 week course but if she is busy they get cancelled like the last one which would have been just before SCD. They are great, very informal.

What would you do if you danced with her? I'd be soooo scared (but happy).
I must get on a course next year then....I'd dearly love to learn how to dance anyway and what a great teacher she is (from what I see on the prog)...maybe...just maybe!
Hey you!! The greatest fan? Mmmmmm...ok...I'll let you hold that title....I'll strive for 2nd greatest!

lol was only joking, I actually share the title with a lot of people on here and on other sites Although I think I am known as the #1 crazed Karenite on here together with Daisy123 You only have to look at our postcount to see that, the postcount in this topic I mean.

She is a great teacher. What I would do if I got to dance with her at her class? Probably forget all my steps

Thank you so very much. So pleased. Of course there has been 'blips' as everybody has but they've always bounced back like professionals and shown their worth.

I was very disappointed that Carol went out. But it was very tough to call on Saturday.

I know there are some aspects of this place..... but fortunately I think most try and put forward their opinions in a adult way. I think.

I still haven't written my report, I just have too much to write really. Have just been reading everyone elses again and looking at pics. It was the best evening ever Will never forget how special it was and that's mainly down to Karen. I loved meeting up with all you other forumites too.

And Nancy, I was just thinking of boxes LMBO
Some people love collecting them
