So Alesha said 2 dances, didn't she? No mention of recapping a previous dance. Same as Gethin on Radio 5 yesterday. So sounds like they are doing 2 dances on Saturday, which is better than 3.
Well spotted - definitely a Good Thing (TM) if you ask me.

I think two should be enough, other wise it would be too much for them. Though they will do 3 dances in the final.

When I first watched it I noticed her looking petrified at one point ... didn't really notice much else though ... but I wasn't paying that much attention ... when I watched it back I realized that after that look of terror they were making up the entire thing as they went along ... you could see them giving each other meaningful looks, copying what the other person was doing, and reacting to what the other person was doing ... the dance moves themselves weren't bad ... but you could see they were making up the choreography as they were dancing it ...
Aren't they supposed to be giving each other meaningful looks and to have matching moves anyway?

I mean, how's that show they were making it up?

I'm pretty sure is was "Valerie" by Amy Winehouse

Might have been a red herring and I didn't hear any music, but while they were practising the QS, Alesha sang the word "lawyer" much as AW does in that song.

Just listening to it on youtube - isn't it a bit slow for QS? Unless I've found the wrong song?!

Didn't we hear the AT music? Not that I could make out what it was though...

Yes, she blurted out the mistake in the paso straight away. She should have kept quiet really.

Thought her reason was good - she didn't want anyone to think that that the weak ending was how Matthew choreographed their paso doble. Still unsure who went wrong

Matthew owned up to the mistake in the foxtrot. The comments were so good, so I believe he wanted everyone to know the error was his and not Alesha's.

Gosh that interview was like watching their foxtrot, waltz and v. waltz all rolled into one.

Dunno but I think it's certainly got pace. Try this one

Yes I heard that too, but I meant I didn't hear any for the QS.

I think that's a bit harsh considering she'd never danced ballroom before in her life and whilst the Latin might be suited to her personality, she's never done Latin before either.

Of course she's been on a journey - they all have.
What's her journey been?

A reality tv 'journey' transforms the person, a significant change. I don't think a good dancer learning new ways to dance quite qualifies.

So has it been confirmed that it is purely phone vote for the semi? If the judges have a say then Alesha will definitely be through.

Poor Alesha - she seems resigned to leaving this Saturday - like Letitia did. I really hope she makes the final. Will vote for her and Gethin once each.
Why ? surely the votes will just cancel each other out so to speak
?

OK, now I can see it - I had found a version that was the same song but a lot slower!

So has it been confirmed that it is purely phone vote for the semi?
I haven't heard either way.

At the moment it seems to still include the dance off. I'm sure they would (and should) have mentioned it by now if it was changing early.

Well no it means they get more votes than Matt...

I think somebody would have said by now if the rules were changing - they will be paranoid about people phone voting without understanding what exactly they are voting for. So I think there will be a dance off.

(Can I just add that personally I'm voting for Gethin because I love his dances and him, not because he's been on a journey. Personally these three have been my top three for weeks.)

ETA: everyone types quicker than me!

Do you know what ?? i'm a bit annoyed and sad after that ITT.

Matt and Alesha actually had 5 Minutes of interview time by the time the recap of their weekend had finished.
Is that fair on a couple that have got through to the semi final ??

I admit i'm a M&A fan and i've watched all their ITT interviews and to me Alesha looked down and i don't think having to sit there and listen to two "celebrity panel" members say they wanted Gethin to win particularly helped.

Fair enough they can give their opinion but does it have to be on the night Alesha is in the studio and feeling fragile after being in the danceoff ??

Tell you what ?? when Matt and Gethin go in this week we'll have another panel where two of them say they want the other (or Alesha) to win (sorry Matt and Gethin fans but ITT needs to be fair)

..............and don't even get me started on the woman who want's Gethin to win because he looks good in a see thru shirt and the bloke who thinks Gethin is good looking (can't remember if he actually mentioned Gethin's dancing)............and before anyone says it..........yes i'm a woman but no i would never vote for a male dancer on how good looking he is or how good a shirt looks on him .

Zutons version was the original and a different rhythm.

I blame the judges. They overmarked Alesha early on, gave her very little feedback which she could openly improve (Arlene - to her credit - did a bit) and some viewers now see Alesha as teacher's pet and not on any type of journey.
I see Gethin now as teacher's pet , he has also been consistently overmarked , in fact the10s and the influence of DWTS really annoys me .

The improvement certainly came at the apposite time for Gethin .

I suspect gethin fans will probably be annoyed at her, too *sigh* some of these celeb guests are just embarrassing!

The slower one I found was Amy WInehouse which had been mentioned, I guess maybe she just did it slower for a change one time. I like the faster version for a potential QS track.

Probably be something entirely different now LOL!

Lol you just said exaclty how I felt about ITT.

Poor Alesha, well A&M got a vote from when all that was being said, I was going to vote about 10 times because it annoyed me lol but I need to save my credit for Saturday and the final (if A&M get into the final)

I do not agree at all - I think he has been consistently undermarked & Alesha has sometimes been overmarked - but I guess few of us are experts & we all see things differently!

Aren't they supposed to be giving each other meaningful looks and to have matching moves anyway?

I mean, how's that show they were making it up?
... ok, they were giving each other looks meaning "what are we going to do next" / "I can't believe we got away with doing that move" and "why are you wandering off in that direction, maybe if I stamp my foot nobody will notice that we're making it up" ... yes, they should have had meaningful looks as part of the dance, but the meaning would have been different if they were supposed to be there!
