A total disgrace!

Me and my mum both saw it. She stumbled twice! No way did that deserve 40/40. Its a completley joke. Me and my family are fuming now and are block voting for Christine and Jodie just to miff the judges!

It was a blatant attempt to protect her! Ever since she snivelled and moanded about being in the dance off the other week they have been overmarking her

No dance is ever perfect. It's an impossibility.

I didn't notice the stumbles but I think Rachel & Vincent were overmarked...but so were just about all the other couples...and the placings were about right...which is much more important.

I think its pretty obvious who they want to get rid of isn't it?

They cannot make us like Rachel. She is cold and dull.

I'm guessing you don't like Rachel then hmmph?

If Jodie or Christine had missed steps (and I'm not convinced Rachel did) then would you and your Mum still be fuming and block voting for everyone else?

I started nother thread, about this because I thought she missed a whole section of steps about 1/3 of the way through.

But I was asking for advice coz it could have been the dreadful camera work.

So, although I thought it was beautiful, I was sure she did miss some steps.

Yes, I think the placings were about right, and that is what matters as opposed to the overmarking, which I agree was across the board tonight.

How can a foxtrot be perfect - four tens - when she didn't do one heel lead!!!

She's clearly not getting enough votes from the public so they are protecting her.

It wasn't perfect for me. I thought it was very good, but it didn't really engage me.

I've found it difficult to like Lisa although I do like Brendan - in fact I've never even considered her attractive, but tonight she looked stunning: that colour looked wonderful on her, and imo theirs was the best dance of the night.

I thought Tom was overmarked and although it wasn't Christine's finest hour, I didn't think she was as far behind the others as the marks suggested.

I completley agree. I think the judges were obviousley trying to protect her. Anyone wanta guess at who is getting the most votes now John has gone?

No not just you. We both saw it and were stunned when she got five tens.

Just thought I would add my bit to this thread.
Rachael missed her heel leads alright and she also missed the heel turns, an essential part of the Foxtrot.
How could Len say it was perfect and give it a 10.
Wouldnt expect the others to recognise a heel turn if it jumped up and bit them, they should have seen the missed heel leads though..
Now I hope the public get behind Jodie and Christine and turn this show upside down.

I have voted for Jodie every week so far as she is at least engaging and also her and Ian are so much fun.

Tonight I have also voted for Austin who is also middle of the board.

My dream dance off tonight- Rachel and Tom- the judges chosen two- I would like to see their heads explode after thinking they would have an easier week!

I think someone started a thread on this, but she didn't get 10s because it was perfect. She got 10s because the judges thought she was better than anyone else tonight, and they had already given Tom four 9s - therefore it would have been unfair to mark her with the same scores as Tom... does that make sense?

Nevertheless, I really like Rachel and Vincent! I'm chuffed for them!

It just didn't have that breath taking wow factor for 40/40

Personally I thought she was about level with Tom. Certainly not better.

Depends where the anti-judge vote has gone and and whether more people are voting on the dancing. The dancing is pretty clear whether you allow for journeys or effort or make very 9 and 10 one amrk lower. My guess is Christina will get a lot of teh negative vote which won't make any difference as she ahs a one show vote anyway.

So did I actually, I was just saying that was probably the reason they gave Rachel 10s...

I don't know why people think Rachel is cold and dull. Just because Arlene once said that her eyes didn't sparkle enough? I think she comes over as a lovely, sweet girl. She was overmarked tonight, though.

Foxtrot is such a difficult dance to sell because everything is done in a straight line. Her posture was perfect, her footwork, I thought was great (no heel leads? Really?!), and she engaged Vincent throughout the dance.

Is it perfect 40? But it is close!

I LIKE it!

My opinion is that Rachel was near perfect. If she stumbled it was well covered.

People have to be careful not to let their dislike of the person mist their judgement of the dance. My darling Alesha suffered a lot on here last year for the same reason.

I've voted for Rachel tonight, but have voted much more for Christine because I don't think she is safe poor love.

No one gets 10 for being perfect - no one is perfect. She got 10 because it was nearer on the scale to a 10 than a 9 and any faults didn't detract. As you say if you give someone a 9 for something notably less good you will end up thinking about giving something better a 10 unless tehre's a clear reason not to.
