Well as seemingly one of few FMs who took this position on the judges' antics, I'm feeling very smug.

John understands how the show works a lot better than many of his supporters I reckon.

Yes, it was a nice poke in the eye for all four of them. Very dignifioed and made the rest look a bunch of chumps. Whoever wins this year, no-one will care anyway now.

I noticed the very warm response & standing ovation form the audience but NOT from the judges??!! I'd say privately they must be very angry?!

I agree, but the antics of the judges tonight suggested that the production team hadn't seriously attempted to get them to focus again. With their popularity surely at an all-time low, they behaved about as badly as possible. Is that how they think the mood of the series will be improved? I've grown well and truly sick of all of them this series for their silly favouritism, their woeful attempts to be 'comical', Arlene's ghastly obsession with alliteration, Bruno's contrariness, Len's madness and Craig's increasingly hypocritical claims to be the guardian of technique when he ignores it at least one dance every week. All four have milked this show for all it's worth and have damaged it in return. I hope they're offered a pay cut to return next time.

Exactly. He is a very astute manipulator who has worked the system from day one for the purpose of providing himself with massive publicity so that his new career as an after-dinner speaker will gain him maximum money.

It is clear that on being accepted onto SCD he studied the show very closely and worked out that the worse he danced, the more he would get criticised and the more votes he would get. It worked a treat.

All those who voted for him have been hoodwinked by him, and poor Kristina has been dragged, unwittingly, into his very subtle plot.

Was Arlene sucking a lemon during John's farewell speech? She looked more dour than usual!

This is rather entertaining. I'm sorry whatever you think about Kristina, she is not a stupid little girl that had to be dragged unwittingly into an evil plot. I love her, I think she was the best prodancer this year, because she knows the score and knows how to create routines that were crowdpleasing.

Well I for one was glad the judges didn't join in the standing ovation. I was upset for Kristina but I wish they hadn't danced at all on Saturday night. I'd much rather a line was drawn when JS quit during the week. Talk about milking it.
