I just don't give them that much credit Psychosis. I don't think they've caught on at all. Pity for Rachel who is this year's sacrificial lamb.

Nuh uh Rachel and Austin :sleep:

In her defence it may have been technically perfect but dull, but its hard to make a foxtrot Wowee golly gosh exciting. Well done to her.

The judges obviously want to pinpoint someone as the one to beat so that the underdog doesn't get the most votes again.

At the moment I feel like Tom deserves to win the most because he loves dancing so much, if Rachel beat him to it I would be very mad. ”

I agree with you totally, I'm so hoping Tom will make it to the final. Here's to an Austin and Tom final!

In regard to the judges conspiring together, if you watch Arlene when Craig put up the ten, she looked surprised.

Rachel, promoted?

The girl did a cracker of a VW and Jive and got very little praise for either.

Since then, she has not put a foot wrong and the judges are finally giving her the credit she deserves.

It's about time she was promoted. She's been overlooked for too long.

A Foxtrot isn't a wow dance. That was intended as a subtle version of it too......

Tom hasn't been better than Rachel - he's been more inconsistent. No one would argue he was better tonight or last week even if she hadn't got 10s. He wasn't even markedly better at the beginning.

The idea that Rachel has been set up throughout as the finalist is contrary to all evidence. Len downplayed her chances from before the series started, Cherie and Lisa and even Jodie and Christine have all been spun as contenders at some time. The whole theme of the series has been Tom's competion with Austin. Austin has been such an obvious finalist that he even got to represent the show dancing on other TV shows.

Rachel has made herself look like a contender by pulling out the right dances at the right time. If anything thats probably surprised the producers as Len and others clearly thought she would be better at fast dances than the slower ones she has turned in the performances with.

I would agree its a no brainer that Austin, Tom and Rachel should on merit be the finalists and would have a close competition. They should all be there. That only two will be is another consequence of the anti-judge vote keeping JS in. It will be even worse if the best two get there only for the best one not to win because enough people think that judges shouldn't give their highest marks to their best dancer.”

Hear, Hear - on every point!

Im not having a go cos her rhumba last week was absolutley EXCELLENT, and that DID deserve a 40. This, however did not. It didnt have any WOW factor to it. It was executed very well, but even Arlene said it wasnt perfect yet she still gave a 10!!

... methinks the producers are now wanting a boy/girl SCD final now that there are only 2 finalists going to be there. Which means poor Tom is likely to get it in the neck which is a pity as overall he has been better than Rachel.

I cant help but feel that Rachel is being artificially over scored to ensure she becomes a finalist!!”

I can clearly remember Alesha's bendy legged Cha Cha being overmarked. It happens.

So Craig's mark goes from 9 to 10, and suddenly the marks are artificial and controlled by the producers?

I would encourage anyone who really believes such theories to make complaints to Ofcom and to the BBC, because if they're right the show is a sham, and that should be exposed and the corruption cleaned out.

Otherwise, it will seem that the allegations (which have now become frequent) are just being used to try to turn opinion against one of the dancers.

Presumably that's because the producers are secretly telling them individually how to vote, so that none of them know what the others have been told to do.

She is good, but I think she was picked out for the final before Strictly had even started.”

I find this whole idea of the judges overmarking Rachel to get her in the final/keep her out of the bottom two a bit farfetched to be honest. If Rachel really is that unpopular with the viewers, surely the producers would be instructing the judges to get her out ASAP, as she was not pulling votes/viewers?? As someone has already said- Craig doesn't give many tens- he's the only judge I trust to give an honest score. Also, all this stuff about Arlene saying it wasn't perfect- I think she was carrying on the song name- Close to You leading to the 'close to perfect' comment....

Len didn't have her picked out for the final for sure, that's for sure. He did a preview in one of the papers and said he had a feeling she wouldn't get near the final.
