I thought Rachel and Vincent's foxtrot was beautiful, but I've no idea if it was perfect, not being a dance expert. Having said that there's no such thing as perfect.

Maybe it is because she seems so desperate to win. And the crying after being in the bottom 2 didn't help.

Because she was ridiculously overmarked. She is dull and cold. She has an air of desperation which is a horrible turn off.

Because there is a good deal of truth in it. Competitve young girls who dont go all jokey are not liked. Saying that if Rachel was in her 50's she would be forgiven. Just my 2 pence.
Anyway why are Jodie and Christine so popular if this is true? They are hardly mingers are they? |

Much as I like Rachel and her foxtrot, I think the judges had just handed her the death sentence. So many flaming (female) viewers are going off this delightful couple.
I think she did a marvellous job tonight. Don't know why people are crucifying her like that. It was the BEST dance of the night no doubt. But I agree it doesn't deserve the perfect 40 score. But is this HER fault? |

I am not anti-Rachel, i think she is really sweet and her dance tonight with Vincent was absolutely lovely.
Someone said something about missed steps, I didn't notice which I usually do so that must say something about the overall dance. |

Rachel is like dancing by numbers, I get no emotion from her.

No way did she deserve four tens! She stumbled and missed several steps- had anyone else done that they would have penalised. Its a travesty that she received a perfect score.
For me she is cold and she doesn't sell the dance at all. |

Stumbles??? I think you're imagining things or inventing errors to make the girl look bad.

But is this HER fault? Perhaps people are 'going off' Rachel and vincent because they are so blatently pushed by the Beeb (review the fawning by claudia on ITT)- and to this end people like to form their own views. The 40 tonight was easy for the judges to give because, as usual, R&V were dancing last or nearly last- it was undeserved and I hoped the judges had learned their lessons from past series but apparently not. |

SCD-O its not often I disagree with you but I am irritated that people are always blaming 'female' voters for 'going off' the women contestents or not voting for them. I, and several fo my friends, have voted primarily for women in this series.

The 40 tonight was easy for the judges to give because, as usual, R&V were dancing last or nearly last- it was undeserved and I hoped the judges had learned their lessons from past series but apparently not. But there ARE a lot of irrational ones out there. Missed heel leads? What the h*ll were they talking about? Rachel's footwork looked fantastic. Albeit I am not a dancer, but I certainly saw the heel leads (when the camera actually showed her feet that is). I do think she doesn't deserve perfect 40. BUT, foxtrot is a very, very boring dance. It's basically dancing in a straight vertical line, and to make foxtrot entertaining is very, very difficult. Sometimes, people go for entertainment value and they produce less perfect posture and therefore get lower marks. Vincent knew they can't afford to do that. But rather they chose to please the judges and worked hard to perfect the foxtrot. I thought Rachel was engaging with Vincent. I don't see why she was so treated in this forum?! ![]() She deserves to be the top of the leaderboard as she was clearly the best dancer of the night. Maybe not a perfect 40, but she's the top girl tonight. |

Me too, I only voted for Alesha last year and Louisa the year before, I hate all this women hate women nonsense, there's been quite a bit of negativity towards Tom on the forums, jealous male viewers perhaps? or doesn't that work both ways.

I think the tears that showed themselves when she got dumped in the bottom two a few weeks ago have had an affect on the judges
They certainly seemed to have changed their tune. Rachel is bland- same as Emma Bunton- and therefore teachers pet |

You are certainly not one of those 'female' viewers I alluded to in my post, to be sure.

Over-marked is the most over-used word this series.
Cherie, Lisa, Tom, Austin, John - all been accused of it. So now it's Rachel's turn Although I agree about Cherie. She made such blatant mistakes and she was still gettig high marks!!! |
