I agree that what i saw was a lovely, impressive performance and did not find it dull. If viewers are watching expecting to be 'wowed' by everything then it is natural that thee will be disappointment.
Not all dances include the opportunity to do explicitly crowd pleasing elements and sometimes when these are used too much it does not work at all (step forward christine & matts cha cha).
Some of the guest pro dances last year left me cold - it is all about personal taste and IMO if forum members are too busy scrutinising footwork and trying to out judge the judges then they are missing the point somehow
