How ironic that Len Goodman said that the Sarge will be missed. Every week he was saying that he shoudn't be in the competition.

I didn't see it tonight...hope to see John's dance tomorrow or on It Takes Two. As for the judges...well they got what they wanted....and yes two faced the lot of 'em. John should have taken the opportunity and said a very special thank you to the former rent boy with the dodgy passport !

One thing I find quite amusing is that in the US old Len is seen as Mr Nasty ? Can you imagine what they'd think of Mr Rent Boy and the Witch, especially her comment about looking like a pig in Cuban heels ?

I think it's very easy to understand that they thought he shouldn't be there on dancing talent but they would miss his personality. It is perfectly possible to separate the dancing and the man.

But perhaps that would be too straight forward for the melodrama people want this to become...

I couldn't bear to watch it tonight. We went out and didn't even set the DVD. I couldn't bear the thought of the two-faced hypocrisy as we have a lovely TV and I was scared I would throw something at it!

Wiz, Beachcomber, Reginald - please come to my party. You can express your views with like minded folk, accompanied by some delicious nibbles and a glass or two of your choosing. We have an extensive bar and plan a fabulous firework display before the night is out.

I couldn't watch it either for much the same reason, though I'm glad they had the decency to stay sitting down when Sarge had done his dance.
At the end of the day, its for charity isn't it - I mean I know a few ex contestants have gone on the tour, but none of them have become professional dancers...have they?
And is it me, or does Len bear an uncanny resemblance to Franklin D Roosevelt?

Perhaps not

Len was more hypocritical a few weeks back when he said if he was watching from home he'd be voting for John. Then telling people not to. John brought an extra dimension to the show. Some people are too precious about their dancing. Lighten up a bit I say.

What charity is it for again? The BBC Benevolent Society, perhaps?

They could have learned a lesson from Simon Cowell tonight. Rachel sang JLS off the stage but at the end of the day she didnt have the public support that JLS has and so Simon went with the public.

What a difference from the SCD judges.

Len's so two-faced and a panderer to the audience and the contestants. He shouted down quite reasonable criticisms of Lisa and Christine tonight and was rude and grumpy to the other judges culminating in his dismissive attitude of fair critism of Austin too. Mind you his two-faced attitude was apparent from the preview show where he said he thought Matt DA and Kate should have gone when I remember quite clearly not only was he singing a different tune at the time but he berated other judges for criticizing him. To use his own language he got on my wick tonight.

I occasionally catch Dancing With The Stars ,and they are totally different with the American celebrities, they show them respect there's a guy by the name of Warren Sapp made it to the final,he's a 300lb ex football player, but having a go not a dancer, but Len said to him you performed, never mind the technicalities you give a good performance..This guy could win the competition but stateside this seems okay with our 2 judges, and it shouldn't make a difference, but obviously it does in the U.K. though..Double standards or what... but that's showbiz.

An American commentator came over to watch SCD and said that the 'woman judge' was 'fair'...must've caught her in a good mood. She (the commentator) said the other male judge (namely Craig) was vile, and that she thought Len overmarked in order to compensate for Craig's mark.

Apologies - it didn't realise it wasn't for CIN -I suppose that does put a different spin on it, but all the same if people are asked to take part and public voting is an element of the process than this sort of thing is bound to happen. And will keep on happening, BBC will keep getting lame ducks into it and history will repeat itself.
I am wondering who next years GMTV sacrificial lamb might be

I love Warren ,think he's immense fun and he does work very hard. He's had the dance again spot (for what the judges regard as the most I assume entertaining dance twice I think. I loved his Paso. I know its off topic but I'd prefer him to win to Brooke who smiles through a Paso (didn't get that at all) or Lance (but thats mainly because I think Lacey has let him down badly)

I was so disgusted with the two facedness of the judges that I bothered to send a complaint to the BBC. Even before JS left the show I thought that if I had been in his position that I would have also left. He was in an untenable situation, put there by the comments of all of the judges (both on ITT and SCD).

The judges claim that it is a dance program, however if this was the case you wouldn't pay £90K (?) each to a judge of a dance contest. The judges appear to see themselves as celebrities, and used this to get a large pay increase. I even see that Len has a book on sale in the shops, all thanks to his taking part in the show and becoming a celebrity.

I think that the judges have gotten a little too big headed and despite them being very entertaining they should be forced to leave and allow some fresh new talented judges in. The said that John was taking the place of a more deserving dancer, then perhaps the same statement could be applied to the judges?

After much lurking this is my first post - I just needed to get this anger of my chest.
