Fair enough but I just hope Christine doesn't win because of a misplaced IMO sympathy and ah bless vote.

She won't win she has no chance! Why do people say she does? Look at the voting figures

Okay... first off Christine won't win. Secondly she isn't the best dancer left in the competition but she gives a hell lot more of a performance than the judges pet dancer.

I don't think people are voting just for Matthew, popularity on the boards doesn't always translate to popularity with the public, Heather was pretty popular on here to begin with and she was in the dance off four times. I think die hard fans are more likely to vote for their favourite pros rather than casual viewers, Flavia got the finale last year and was out first, Anton was out second etc.

I've loved Jodie throughout, and voted for her tonight as I enjoyed her Jive and thought it was technically much better than I expected and she performed it brilliantly but....it was her time to go. Right decision.

I can't believe Christine wasn't in the dance off with her though. What on earth are people seeing in her? Or them as a couple - blandness personified!

Be interesting from now on in, if Christine goes next week and/or Lisa, who out of Tom, Austin and Rachel will make the two person (I presume it is now?) final. If it's Rachel and anyone else in the dance off who will go through? My guess is we're looking at a Rachel and Tom final at this point.

i really like christine but i dont think she really performs. she has a gorgeous joyous grin on her face most of the time, but i think that's because she is really loving the moment rather than performing the mood of the dance or "acting". i think of all the contestants left, it's evident most in her and lisa how much they love being there

Interesting that Craig mentioned and praised heel turns (I think) in Rachel's Foxtrot as well as clever and subtle choreography by Vincent. Perhaps they were better able to see and judge Rachel's footwork than us viewers watching a TV screen at home.

Great group dance - really enjoyed it. And for the very first time, I actually liked a pro dance. That demonstration of the Milonga by Vincent and Flavia, with such speedy, intricate and accurate footwork was quite impressive.”

Hi Sports Fan!

I was wondering the same about Rachel's foxtrot footwork- Craid seemed to make a point of mentioning the heel turns so maybe the dress didn't help our view?

Really liked the group dance- mainly for the fact that they all seemed to be having a laugh with it! I thought they all did really well- who was the guy Rachel was dancing with on the right hand side of the audience when all the boys were in the middle doing their thing? I thought she really connected well with the audience in that dance- obviously brought out the S Club in her!

And Vincent and Flavia's milonga was stunning... I know people don't like them appearing so much on the results show- but when they dance like that I can't see the problem!!

Whatever it is I rather see it ten times over than another expressionless dance from other contestants.

Why aren't I allowed to not love Christine? People have been incredibly vocal about their dislike of other people both this year and last and they were a lot nastier about it too.”

I have never told you that you are not allowed to dislike Christine but I will pull you up every time I see you try to rationalise or excuse that dislike in a dishonest way as you did this evening in the post I was replying to. Your opinion of her was formed long before this evening and to try to imply differently is just sneaky. Other FMs may not realise that so I'll help them out if I see the need.

The series appears geared for Lisa to win and the judges are going to save her as long as they can in the hope that she will turn in around. The judges' bias is most evident in the group numbers where Lisa is usually among the worst and always gets mentioned as being among the best.

There must be some BBC show in the pipeline for her. God knows why. She's a dreadful presenter.

Her gran's sweet though.

by judges pet do you mean the best dancer?
Were you an alesha fan last year? if so she was also the "judges pet" its called being the best dancer. Of course the judges will rave about someone that dances well.

Sorry Smiles, are you talking about Rachel here? Because I think she'd got a lot better in terms of expressing herself in the dance. She was obviously loving that disco group dance....
I think Christine hides her nerves by smiling, Rachel does it by trying to keep her face blank.

anna123 I was an Alesha fan last year and maybe that is why I am looking for more this year. And I really don't think she was a judges pet.... if she was she would've had about 4 40s last year and she got um... none.

I know where your coming from

The post mocking Christine for apparently messing up a bit of the group dance was a bit like a playground bully who laughs at the kid who maybe isn't as good at sports as the others and mocks and belittles them when they make a mistake. Quite nasty and spiteful really.

Ellie I'm sorry if I caused any offense. I'll stop now. With Rachel I thought her AS was great and her rumba just didn't get the foxtrot. I didn't feel it and it felt a bit blank. I think I'm putting it a bit harshly.

I've been thinking the same thing for the last few weeks, but didn't dare say it on here.

she got more 10s then anyone else and the judges made it obvious she was there favourite. I'm not knocking Alesha i liked her and stil do. But bit unfair that people are slating Rachel for being the judges pet when shes only topping the leaderboard because shes the best on the night.
How would you have felt if Christine who is a much worse dancer had managed to beat Alesha? Rachel is just as good a dancer as Alesha.

I'm not seeing the pro-Lisa bias from the judges (not very observant I suppose ). Regardless of that though I don't think she will win. Of the people left the only one I can see her winning a dance-off against is Christine and even then it would depend on the dance each of them was doing.

my goodness, someone making an observation on someone's dancing on a tv show where the public are invited to judge dancing does not equate to bullying. gosh it kind of makes a mockery of people who are being really bullied.

Christine would never have beat Alesha, and Alesha never receieved a perfect score even though she probably deserved it. Hardly judges pet.

Rachel is not even the best dancer- Tom is. But as he is doing well in the voting he does not need the maximum points to save him.

Such evidence as there is (who's been in the dance-off, the alleged voting figures in the People) suggests that if the final was Lisa or Rachel v one of the boys, whichever one of the latter it was, would win. However, if the final could be Tom v Austin, it might be the least predictible result ever on Strictly.

Oh you haven't caused offence... I didn't mean to think you had!! Just feel that Rachel is getting better....
I don't think she's a judges pet really- just the last couple of weeks thay seem to be liking her.... Including the AS, so I don't think it's a dance off thing either. (but I'm willing to admit that I may see things differently because I like her!!) I don't think a judges pet would get told they were never 'going to blow my socks off' or told that they were 'dead behind the eyes'. Just my opinion though. I didn't mean to sound rude if I did- I wouldn't want to be rude to you Smiles!!

If Christine beat Rachel and it was undeserved on the night I would be upset for Rachel. Christine is not my favourite but I do enjoy watching her. I do enjoy watching Rachel too at times, I thought her rumba was fantastic and her AS just not her foxtrot and it wasn't deserving of the marks in my eyes... it is only my opinion like you have yours.

And I don't think Rachel is in Alesha's league yet. All of Alesha's performances were great. We've only had a select few from Rachel, good ones though.
