You don't know how funny that is, aiko. Strangely enough my boots (I haven't counted them, and I'm not going to) are all standing upright in wardrobes, mostly with those folded cardboard thingies in them to keep them upright.

The new ones are a lovely colour and I bought them because they match a (get this) nifty shoulder bag in exactly the same colour which I have never used because I didn't have any matching footwear.

I can't find when Anthea is on either, snowy, but I did chance on her recently when she was taking two wide-eyed sitting ducks to task for the state of (I think) their cupboards. It might have been a trailer. It all struck me as a bit obsessive compulsive, and not at all what I need at the moment, when I'm trying to conserve the world's energy supplies by not indulging in vacuum cleaning - which reminds me it's time I defrosted the freezer - it's all timing don't you find? However if you keep on talking about her I'll have to make a point of watching her, which will do me no good at all.

Should I confess that I have certain outfits collected together in zipped plastic covers?............or will that make me seem strange?

PS Rolled newspaper? You mean that dirty, inky stuff - wouldn't put that anywhere near the inside of my boots. Maybe she's not perfect after all.

Mal, it's taken me such a long time to make myself do this - my mum's such a worrier and I know I take after her. I'm always too quick to see the negative in a situation, but slowly I'm getting better.

Its not easy - but I think that once you realise something/see something you are half way there anyway. The answers are no good to those without questions!

((((mal))))) Don't let it bug you (the wet pants thing) - my son is 13 and is only just beginning to show signs of being dry at night. We have been through phases where he has lulled me into a false sense of security but by and large he's always had continence probs - it's genetic, partly, as dad was still wetting the bed at 15. I'm guessing LittleMal's dad won't answer the inevitable question even if you wanted to ask it
I find it's worst when he's totally absorbed in something e.g. tv prog or computer game, and realises "too late". We've tried the usual things like making him go to the loo even when he says he doesn't want to but we're not always successful.
You've got years before you need to start worrying about it - isn't LittleMal only 3 and a 1/2? - be grateful he's not a puppy - he'd be chewing the carpet as well

Sorry I've not been posting much, been a bit down with a cold and sinus related headaches, on the up now though.

I've ben lurking and I'm pleased to hear the surgery went well R_P. I'm still thinking often about me@h.

Bump is growing nicely, I'll try to get a piccie soon. I'm getting some nice strong kicks now and I was able to get a recording of Tiger's heartbeat for the parents on valentines day. In a few weeks we'll know if it's a girlie bump or a boy bump.

Mal, i know how frustrating the wetting is but hang on in there, he'll get the hang of it eventually.

I've not watched the housewife programme, it'd only depress me.

I'm off for the weekend first thing tomorrow, I'm staying with Tiger's parents, I've been told to expect to be waited on hand and foot - not used to that.

Hi grumpettes. I'd planned to spend some of the weekend building me shiny new PC after giving the current 4 year old one some TLC but one of the bits I bought is broken. No big deal, it's being replaced, but I'd just looked forward to some "pottering about" and it's been one thing after another. The saga is in the Computer forum FWIW. Us boys must have our toys, so we can cope with (hide from) real life.

I'm back! Phew... What an afternoon - we ended up in a Sea Life Centre and watched penguins (love 'em) and seals (love 'em lots) getting their food... and the most amazing jellyfish floating around in darkened rooms where eerie music was playing and... I got to hold a crab ( ) ... and we saw some Japanese Spider Crabs the size of a dog... and we had waffles and spent a fortune in the arcades.

Examinus - pants. The lack of money is the worst thing about being a student. The only thing to do is to get a part-time job. I had a few interesting ones when I was young and foolish - I'll tell you about them when I know you better/you post some more pictures of yourself.

Beth - glad the bump is fine. I'd love to see some piccies.

TJ - I'll forward you a photo of our garden and you can tell me what to do with it... Is that a good idea? Otherwise we're a bit lost... in the jungle...
