Was anyone else as annoyed that Same Difference chose to mime their song last night? On X-Factor of all shows!x

Yep...as soon as they came on stage I realised!

I guess they had so much dancing to do they had to mime.

You could hear it in their voices once they were talking to Dermot. The mics weren't working when they were talking to Dermot so how come they worked during the performance?

The mics were working, didn't you hear them go fuzzy when the girl was talking? I think they were singing live.

Who cares if they were miming. All professional singers do it.

Oh my God.

That was a tactic to dupe simple people into thinking they'd actually sung live, when throughout the performance their mouths were out of sync with the singing, and early on the girl accidentally started miming to part of the song which was only sung by the boy on the track.

I'll let you keep the tinfoil hat. Might help you keep your eyes in the right place.

Blatantly miming, not on in this show, its all supposed to be live performances and all previous famous acts have had the decency to sing live.

Surprised at Simon's praise of them after that performance

Of course they were miming and so what?! Most if not all singers with dance routines do it. It's common industry practice. I bet you didn't know that portions of the West End production of 'The Phantom of the Opera' (including the title song) are mimed?

There was no excuse for them miming though before they started dancing - that bit at least should have been sung live.

Was the single available to download from midnight because on the latest iTunes update there is no sign of it ? It is maybe a Monday release ?

We R One - singing live

Look at the link to see them perform We R One live. The dance routine is a bit less energetic than last nights performance but demonstrates what an all round package they are!

Currently No 2 in the Amazon download singles chart....

Yes they were clearly miming - badly too on Sarah's part.

I'm sure that there was some discussion last year about them miming one week on the show (at least part of the song if not all of it), perhaps the week their song was changed at the last minute?

If they were miming, why were they gvien such horrendous mics, then - they really looked like they had growths coming out of their faces ...they should have used proper theatre mics. The feedback on the mics suring the chat with Dermot was, I thought, because they were speaking through 2 mics - the one on their face and Dermot's. Maybe I'm deluding myself though.I trust too many people.

A great performance, energetic dance routine, pure SD fun and with glitter.

I've seen them perform quite a few times now and they can sing.

The fact that they were soooo bad at miming shows that they are not used to it!

As Stuart said, the fact that Sarah's mike was all poppy and naff during the chat proved by itself they were miming. ie you didn't hear that crappy quality during the song.

While they undoubtedly have talent, I occasionally find it disturbing when a brother and sister duet on love songs.

And the miming last night was terrible, as were their haircuts lol - I had nightmares.

they were miming- when they jumped up and down, live singing would have distorted their voices - try it, youcan't sing that clearly whilst jumping!!!

I saw them perform that song at the Christmas lights switch on in a town close to me on Wednesday night. They definitely sand live and I can tell you that they were fantastic.

I felt that during the performance ... quite disturbing indeed.

The huge mics were funny though.

Oh yes, it's obvious they were miming. They proved that they can sing on last year's show, though. It's understandable with all the dance routines I guess.

I suppose it's about selling albums now rather than winning votes. I was disappointed though.

I have been to some concerts where the acts have mimed.
