Navman S50 3D problem

Hi,

My S50 3D has died after only 6 weeks!

When I switch on it tries to reboot then the following message appears:

"Application gwes.exe has preformed an illegal operation & will be shut down.If the problem persists, contact the program vendor."

Program: gwes.exe
Exception: 0xC0000005
Address: 00023174

I've been in touch with the help desk but their call centre is only open office hours.

I did get an e-mail advising what to do but this seemed to be for a different model!!!

Any ideas what the problem is & how to sort it?

I had one breifly, but i dropped it in the bath (dont ask) so its a goner.

I presume you have tried hard resetting it. Holding the on/off button down for 10 seconds?

Hi Gordie,

My Navman doesn't have an on/off button it has a 3 position slider switch (on, off & reset).

I tried to reset but no joy, I did however get a reply from Navman, who have told me it's a fault with the device.

They are sending a pre-paid package so I can send it back for repair, which should take 7-10 days.
