Semi Finals and Finals
Hello everyone
Hopefully everyone now has seen the Friday shows on Watch. I think the right final three has got through in terms of a mix between talent and crowd-pleasing. Brooke imploded in her jive but pulled things back with the salsa. Warren was his usual fun self and Lance was probably the best all round on the night. Cody did great to get to the semi and I think was just pipped because the other three were so strong in comparison. Anyone else any thoughts? |

My husband was recording something on Friday night and went out yesterday morning and forgot to tape the show then. I'll need to watch on YouTube.

I agree, definately the best final three and amazingly two of my favourites from show one are in there (Warren and Lance)
I am really pleased that Cody made it to the semi's just so he could dance with Julianne again, but I did put him and Maurice at the same standard so i thin he was lucky. I really want Warren to win! Am I right in thinking that Kym is one of the new pros this series? If so, its pretty cool that two new pro's made it to the final! |

![]() ![]() I'd like Warren to win a she makes me smile and he looks like he's having a ball! ![]() But sometimes when I watch Brooke I find it hard to remember she's the celeb! I like Lance too, but not his partner and I'm not so keen on the 'alternative' choreography she does for them on DWTS. I wonder if we'll get to see the two hour recap show? |

I thought for a semi-final, last weeks show was very poor.
Brooke's jive for example was like something I'd expect to see in week 1, in fact it was virtually non-existant as she didn't dance 1 proper jive step. Admittedly her 2nd dance was good. Of the others, what on earth was Julianne thinking about with that ridiculous dance that was meant to be a paso? Whatever it was, it wasn't paso. Lance and Lacey were the best 2 by far (and I'm no fan of Lacey's) but as they had 2 dances akin to swing, which is what Lacey specialises in, that is as it should be. Warren seems a lovely guy, and although light on his feet for such a big man, he is flat footed, and gets away with doing very little. The results show also seemed to go on forever. Overall, very very disappointing. |

I don't watch all the results show tbh. If I like who is going to be on I record it and ff through, otherwise I just pick up the news online.

Very wise! Think I'll do the same as this weeks' results show is - I think - even longer. |

I love Lance and Lacey. I do think Brooke may win as she has been the most consistent up until now. But I think Lance has the largest fan base. I think Warren may go next.

Don't under estimate the power of NFL football players. I think Lance will be the one to go (when you see his freestyle on Friday you'll see why). Warren as flatfooted as he is just has this amazing energy & way to entertain the crowd. Brooke gets a lot of cheers but Warren (IMO) brings the house down. I think it will come down to Warren & Brooke tonight (I'm hoping with Warren winning). |

![]() Unfortunately someone has posted the result in another thread (well who wins anyway ), but I'm going to stay off this sub-forum now until after I've watched the show.

Thought the final was good, but the results program was way too long - by about an hour! It was far too repetitious, and became boring. Thought the result was pretty much inevitable. I do enjoy dwts, but didn't think this series was up to the standard of previous series, nevertheless, will look forward to seeing next series in 2009.

I thought this season of DWTS just flew by. I enjoyed the final but thought the results show was rather long winded.
It was interesting to hear Len say about the show being about entertainment as well when he was commenting about Warren's dances whereas he was rather grumpy and moody re the John Sargeant scenario over on SCD. Brooke was obvously going to win but I wasn't bothered who the runner up was between Lance and Warren. |

Warren was my favourite but he wasn't good enough to win really. Brooke was so good that I sometimes used to forget she was the celeb! But what disappointed me the most was Lance & Lacey's show dance and imho it would have lost them votes for not choosing one of the 'normal' dances.
I was determined to watch the results show on Friday night but it just dragged on and on and had nothing like the excitement of a final for me - gave up, turned on the recorder and went to bed!

Mmmmmm
I wanted one of the "improved along the way" celebs to win rather than Brooke who was good all the way through. She was the best dancer in the final though, no two ways about it - but that was obvious from week one. I LOVED Warren from the beginning, and tried to like Lance but I think Lacey ruined his chances by trying to be too different from the other pros, and was choreographing too much to her own strengths rather than his. |

I loved all the last three couples for different reasons, although I wanted Warren and Kym to win because they really reached out and engaged the audience and viewers with everything they did.

Brooke was a deserving winner, was happy to see her win and would have been equally happy to see Warren lift the trophy. Poor Kym - runner up twice first to Julianne now to Derek.
Still, I thought this was the weakest final since series 3. I would love to see DWTS do something similar to the Christmas Special featuring winners and finalists in a one off competition. |

Has DWTS never had any thing like a Christmas Special? I'd have thought something like that would go down well.
They've had a few come back to dance again but only on the results show - Drew, Kristi, Mel and Apollo are the ones I remember. They've asked Stacey to return to do a dance but she declined. I think after 6 series it should be easy to get enough ex contestants to return. |
