Oh my good God no, not Lionel Blair. Seeing him the other night was more OTT than ITT, he never let anyone get a word in edgeways. Can you imagine what the show would be like. The show would be on for hours waiting for him to STFU.

The show is cheesy enough, having Blair would make it unwatchable
I agree. Lionel Blair would be ten times worse.
Keep Brucie, but bring in Claudia to replace Tess and give her a bigger role in the show. Claudia is a little diamond in my opinion, the BBC needs to hold on to talent like that.

At which point you have killed ITT (as Claudia makes ITT).

True. But ITT at 6.30 weekdays on BBC2 against the BBC Saturday flagship show with 10+ million viewers...couldn't she do both ?

6 days/week, plus rehearsals for SCD, and Saturday is a rather packed day.

Yes, she could do both, but she might reasonably want to spend a bit of time NOT working

None of his jokes worked through lousy timing (and poor writing) and he does seem doddery. Do they need a new male presenter ?
He's been like that since series 1 really. Some of his less elaborate jokes do work but he just wont leave them alone when they do and always has to add a bit on the end that falls flat.

He really just needs to play it straight and not attempt to be funny, then he might get away with it.

SCD really isn't a programme that needs its presenters to be the highest paid people on it because they are not the stars, however much they think they are.

He remind me of Laurence Olivier doing Archie Rice, the world's worst music hall act, telling the worst unfunniest jokes in the world.
LOL - Yes, but that was the whole point of The Entertainer!!

Good grief, he's 80 and he was ill. He did a good job for me, and please can some people think up some different topics because this has been done over to death.

I love Brucie! Ok, he may not be the best presenter in the world (neither is Tess IMO) but he makes the show what it is. He makes me laugh. He's a legend and did really well considering he's 80 and had a heavy cold.
