Some Rachel haters are hypocrites
teewoods

Firstly, they accuse JS of tuning the show for bad dancing and not taking it not seriously enough. But accuse Rachel of taking it too serious and having no personality :confused

Stop feeling threatened. I very sure she won’t beat your lovely Austen and Tom.

No more hippos

Thanks teewoods for giving me a laugh with that thread title. You'll have people looking in their dictionaries.
I'm sure no one hates Rachel. Why would you hate someone for learning to dance?

Some people might say that to them there is a differance between ambition to win and desperation.

Who was the person who said, "dancing is a vertical expression of a horizontal desire"?

As tempted as I am to say Arlene, it was George Bernard Shaw:

"Dancing: The vertical expression of a horizontal desire legalized by music. "

I don't see any hate - just differences of opinion which is what the forum is all about surely?

Incidentally, I'm a huge fan of both John and Rachel

What is a Rachel "hater"? Someone who doesn't like her or share your opinion of her?

I've seen a lot of people saying she was over marked but not a lot of hate, I like Rachel and hope she makes the final but I thought she was over marked last night, can't we have opinions on these things without being called haters?

I didn't mind Rachel until suddenly the judges decided she was really great last week, and now they have her in a league of her won, which might be right for technical precision, but she did not sell her foxtrot so well.

I don't get where people get the impression from that Rachel is sooooooo desperate to win. Why is it acceptable, in the eyes of the voting public, for the boys to demonstrate their determination to win but not the girls?

I am afraid it is VERY difficult to sell foxtrot to public that knows very little about ballroom dancing. Quoting some amateur SCD "experts", it is not as "quick" as quickstep and not as "accessible" as waltz.
