Tom's chances just got worse. A Samba and a Rumba still to do!!!!
I feel the same about Christine...

However Rachel may come a bit undone with the Tango and Paso as well as barring the Rumba she hasn't really acted any of the other dances.

Thought I saw somewhere that Rachel and Vincent are doing the cha cha and the tango. I think she may be alright with the tango- for me, as a complete dancing pleb- a lot of the passion comes from the man in the tango.... I'm thinking of Erin and Camilla in their dances with Austin and Tom- their faces remained fairly passive.... At least from my point of view they did!

Wiki have got up the dances for next week; however they're wrong as it contradicts what we already now Lisa and Brendan are dancing

We may hear more news on ITT tonight

Bit worried if Rachel has paso and tango in the same week, but that said they have a kind of similar attitude so perhaps having both dances in that flavour will help.

I think all of those combos throw up a definite stumbling block for the survivors. Ooh goody

If Christine gets VW and Rumba then she may be ok; the ballet thing may help her with the rumba

If she gets the other 2 together at the same time then she is basically screwed.

Rachel may also come a bit undone with the paso when she gets it
I'm looking forward to Rachel's Paso. Vincent's choreography and song choice for Louisa's Paso was great - highly original and effective. They will have a blast performing the Paso.

For the Tango I would like Vincent to choreograph a sharp, big, bold and technically difficult piece. Rachel can handle it and it will look great and blow everyone else out of the water.

For the Argentine Tango, no soft seductive crap (fan of Alesha but wasn't keen on their AT last year). I'd like to see something that is fast, furious, intricate and as technically difficult a piece as Vincent deems Rachel can handle. Of course, Rachel and Vincent will probably also have Flavia on hand to help. Stick a few Milanga moves in and I reckon Erin and Camilla's efforts would look decidely feeble in comparison (understandable since they're not experts in the AT).

I don't doubt Vincent's ability to choreograph the dances well and indeed give Rachel a difficult routine. Its her ability to act and put in a good performance that I think will stop it. Barring her Rumba (and kinda foxtrot) she hasn't acted the dances very well at all - that's what Len was banging on about; same with Arlene and the Aleshaburn thing

Going on claire's guesses:

Lisa's going to be in the bottom 2 again. The Cha Cha isn't the easiest dance to do, so that'll guarantee her a midtable position in the table at best with the judges - unless they attempt to overmark to save her. The Foxtrot should be ok for her as long as she solves the gapping issue.

If they give Rachel and Vincent the Paso and Tango in the same week it could very much be do or die. If she can pick up the aggression of one, it should flow into other. If she struggles, though, the week could be something of a nightmare for her.

Austin's upper half will cause havoc in the Salsa for him. I don't know how he can cut it loose, the judges certainly don't give him any assistance. I just hope Erin manages to sort something out, because he can't afford too long in the midtable, though he does appear to have public support. The American Smooth should be ok for him, though again the issue with it is it does require upper half fluidity.

Considering Tom got through the Salsa with four 9's I can't see the Samba being too much of a rough deal for him, he can work his hips, has some bounce and has good rhythm - I don't know why but I think this could be the dance of the series. The Waltz should suit him as well: I'll be surprised of he doesn't top the leaderboard this week.

The Vienesse Waltz is perfect for Christine and I think it may be the ballroom dance of the night. However, I always get nervous about the rumba and how the celebrities manage to act it. I fear Christine struggles to hone in her bright and bubbly personality, and she may fail to succeed at the Rumba because of that.

Nah, she'll nail the performance.

Yup that's the only one I see him struggling with of those left - I just don't see how he can physically move that upper body bulk in the way required!

I think that Tom will struggle with ALL the ballroom he has left waltz and foxtrot BOTH dances that require controlled technique.

The quickstep Tango and AS which he has already done are showy and suited to his style. Unless Camilla can reign in his exuberance I think he will struggle with waltz foxtrot and rumba he said on ITT that he hasnt done a routine with no mistakes yet and thats because his mind is off with the fairies half the time and as Arlene says you need focus.

He has done the VW but that was the week of his w*****g and he made mistakes and he was off with the fairies for sure.

Tango's a very controlled dance, with everything 'showy' coming from the playing of the part rather than the steps themselves. The American Smooth required 40% in hold, and I believe he did really well at that as well. I agree, I think he needs to hold his concentration, but that's the same for any partnership.

I agree about the Rumba though. Maybe another scene with Amanda Meeling is needed before he attempts that.

I'm expecting Tom's Waltz and Foxtrot to be excellent. It's his Samba and Rumba I worry about. Although his Salsa was much better than I expected.

Paso / tango or cha-cha, I predict that Rach will start off the routine with her head on Vince's shoulder.

This made me laugh so much!

Tom may struggle with the waltz and foxtrot because his footwork is sometimes sloppy and is not really ever tidy- I think thats what stops him getting the 10's he wants.

Austin will struggle with the salsa but better to get it over and done with now I think- hopefully he will get better marks for his ballroom.

Confirmed

Lisa - Cha cha cha & Foxtrot
Austin - Paso Doble & Foxtrot

http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/mbstrictly/...w=20#p72168032

Should be good to compare the two foxtrots.

that leaves
Austin & Erin: American Smooth & Salsa
Lisa & Brendan: Jive & Waltz

Not known/confirmed here yet?
Christine & Matthew: Rumba, Salsa, Tango, Viennese Waltz
Rachel & Vincent: Cha Cha Cha, Paso Doble, Tango, Waltz
Tom & Camilla: Foxtrot, Rumba, Samba, Waltz

Tom must be doing the Waltz as I doubt they'd have 3 celebs doing the same dance together

very much doubt they'll have three foxtrots in a week so I reckon that'll be a waltz for Tom then!

So can we perhaps speculate that in the interests of diversity, Christine will do the VW (should suit her down to the ground) and Rachel the tango?

That leaves us with an AS, a tango, a foxtrot and two waltzes next week - assuming one of the would-be waltzers (Rachel or Lisa) isn't knocked out this week...
