Thank you Cai for initially deciding to stick around and helping me get it, congratulations on posting the actual 75,000th post.
You deserved it as much as me for having the will power to stay around with me.

Thank you to everyone else who decided to pop in and help as well, very much appreciated!
It could never have happened so quickly without you.

Hope you all enjoyed the first 2 parts of my, belated, Cardiff review and I will be writing some more tomorrow. No doubt Cai will remind me, if I am to forget.
And I also hope you enjoyed some of the pictures I put up for you to drool over while being tired and posting for the 75k.

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

You guys make me proud to be a RAT and it wouldn't be the same without any of you.
Even those of you I don't know very well.
You make it all work, even if you are just lurking and popping in and out every now and again.

All for the name of Rhydian Roberts.

Love you all loads! x

Speech over, now sleep time.

Night night!!!

Love you! x”

Bless melly (((((hug))))))

I am a bit confused by Simon etc. They were talking all series about Rhydian and now seem so pleased with the outcome. How would it had been if the positions were reversed, no different I presume. After all, they were so positive towards rhydian until after the final song. I didn't realise how positive they actually were after Somewhere - standing ovation from all four, yet another discussion between Simon and his mother who also gave a standing ovation - Louis saying 'you are a world class and will sell records world-wide, a class act, you deserve to win on that performance alone' - Sharon, brilliant, I hope you record it, I want to hear it again, I agree with Louis, a class act' - Simon 'absolutely brilliant- I agree with Louis, if we were going to give the win to the best singer, you would win, without a doubt'. And then came the Winners story with Simon thrilled, expects a top album. It is confusing”

I could not watch it I am just to sensitive at his not winning yet.

I heard the accounts and remarks that Simon et al made. I think they knew then he would not win.
As Simon said 'if we were going to award it to the person win the best singer, then you would win.'
After tha t we could see th at was the end.

Rhydian has won' he has a record contract which was his goal, and other things to add to ohis career too.

I have wondered that Simon is indeed a genius.
I know who I would prefer to listen too too.

Rhydian is forever not just for Christmas.

Simon must have known Rhyd wouldnt win and particularly when the producers decided to go down the route of country against country so all his praise of Rhydian was building up how Rhyd was world class and the best singer to ensure he had a long term career after the series. Cowell's comments were designed to stamp a quality mark on him.

We might be bemused by Cowell's tactics as it misled Rhydian and everyone else into thinking he;d win but what would we have rathered - that he'd slagged him off. I've come round to thinking if Rhyd had won a huge % of the population would have hated him - cocky guy wins etc ... lucky bast*rd etc .... This result definately softens his image. People have know warmed to him (could we ever have imagined that based on the early footage - I dont think so).).

I know the feeling but I did get the impression after Somewhere that they thought he was going to win/wanted him to win. It changed after the winner's song, or rather before Rhydian had sung, i.e. he had lost it before he even got a chance to sing the first note.
I do find the Sun a little tiresome that they cannot report about Rhydian without adding Leon, it seems to be a policy, do not mention the runner up without trying to add that the winner has the same honour. Perhaps Leon will sing at the rugby international although I would be surprised (his voice does not lend itself to such an occasion which is usually opera singers or the like), but to suggest that ALW has offered him a leading West End role is just ridiculous, I believe they even said as the phantom!!! I'm sure they are fulfilling a request from Max Clifford or Sony/BMG, but can't they let Rhydian have the limelight just once in a while.
