It must have been taken at the time of the other pr shots with the black shirt- how the hell didnt they use that one for him. They stitched him up again by getting him to look upwards and used that shot.

The upwards looking shot was a definite stitch up - so many journalists used it as a way of suggesting he was odd. Yet the show had this bloody gorgeous one they could have used. Bast*rds

i personally cant remember any articles using that pic to suggest he was odd. But the media seems to be turning in our favour. we havent had any 'welsh oddball' descriptors for a while.

I think he probably signed before he went on holiday .. he had meetings the week after the final ....
... I just don't think they've officially announced it yet. Rhyd said that it would be the New Year ... The Sun's artictle isn't really an official announcement either but I think we can safely say that it's happened.
I would think that Sony/Simon and co will announce it officially with a press release when Rhyd gets back

He did the signing before he went that is why he spent time in Oxfordshire with a freind in a cottage, so that he was in easy travelling distance from London to sign the deal.

The media have taken a total turnaround haven't they .... I have a feeling that Rhyd is going to be marketed as a bit of a hearthrob ..... that should pull in the younger market along with all the fans he already has with his awesome voice.
