We saw Rachel Stevens with a packet of fags and an orange lighter on the backstage footage on ITT the other week...

I don't think the make up and hair department help, some weeks she has worn my grannies hairstyle and and the make up plastered on made her look about 60. She always looks so much younger in training. However I think she does act quite young and immature for her age, probably something to do with being a radio presenter!

She looks about 35 to me.
She's really tall so that's one reason.
She's not a little cutie like diddy-Rachel.
Also the hair-styles they give them for ballroom are pure SH!TE.

NB. I prefer her to Rachel. Not that anyone cares...

Actually I don't care how old she looks (somewhere in her thirties). Although I agree they have given her some horrible middle aged hairstyles in the ballroom (not her fault though). Overall, it's refreshing that someone has a moving forehead and is just normal. I don't need young looking women and unattainalbe beauties.

PS: This comes from someone who is not a great Lisa and Brendan fan, but she has endeared herself to me over the last two weeks and the OH finds her really attractive.

OMG!! I can't believe how horrible some of you are!!! Lisa is a stunning woman and I only wish I looked half as good as her! Anyone ever thought of judging someone on what is on the inside? She always seems so lovely and warm and she tries really hard. If you really think she has a big bum and too many chins then you really don't get out much and see the real people walking the streets!

I think Lisa looks great. I bet most of the people posting here look nowhere near as good (even those who are 10 to 15 years younger).

I so agree with the last three posters. I just don't understand why any of the celebs can get so much abuse for trying to learn a new skill.

I never mentioned wrinkles actually, all I've said about her appearance is -

I think she looks her age, but she does look good made up.

She's not the 'girl next door' type that suits the natural look - she looks best glammed up imho.

I think some of the hair styles she's had on SCD have been very unflattering tonight. I'd guess she smokes to keep her weight down and I think you can tell by her face she is a smoker.

I was wrong about the smoking as she gave up last year, but to me she still looks like she smokes by the area around her mouth (this is getting too deep, but you did ask!).

You could say that about a lot of the posts on this board - let me know when you find out!

Considering the puritanical hysteria of these boards lately I am truly shocked that this thread exists.

You know we blame the media for making our kids feel rubbish about how they look, but it seems to me its just a sad part of human nature that prefers to criticise rather than encourage or praise.

I think she looks early to mids 40s. She is jowelly which does not help. She is leggy and good looking though just older than her years. I am surprised that she was a model as she is a bit bland. Maybe she photographs well.

She has slightly prominent buttocks, but they are high. Most women's buttocks are low slung and sagging and fail the "pencil test".

I also question the "the double chin doesn't help" comment. Although I understand what you mean in a way, I had a photo taken as a bridesmaid at a friend's wedding recently at the same age as Lisa. My figure is nowhere near as stunning as hers and there was a definitely more than a hint of a double chin in evidence. Despite this, when I passed the photo to relatives of mine the cry was, "You look about 12!" (Yes I was actually flattered even though theydidn't actually mean it as a compliment.) So the double chin ageing comment doesn't necessarily follow.

I saw Lisa on ITT last night and couldn't see any wrinkles, nor could I see a double chin though the shape of her face is chubby.

I scrutinised the TV when they showed clips of her rehearsals, where she is not wearing make up for the cameras, and still no wrinkles.

She is shapely, her bum is not huge. She looks quite lean actually but goes in and out in the right places.

I don't think she looks old and she certainly isn't wrinkly. Dot Cotton is wrinkly.

Whoa. I for one can't believe she's 37! I'd have said she was about the same age as Rachel, if one or two years older. To think she's three years from 40 is amazing. I hope I look like that when I'm 37, is all I can say. Although perhaps less like a female. Even a beautiful one.

I don't normally comment like this but I felt it was so entirely ridiculous to be criticising what is a really lovely looking girl, and a woman who will have age/body/looks insecurities just like the rest of us..............she has put herself up to be judged for her DANCING, not horrible personal remarks!

I thought she looked in her early thirties before I knew her age. I thought Rachel was in her early twenties til I worked out that she'd have been about 10 when she started in S Club 7. However, I'm 7 years older than Lisa, so when you are old enough to be the parent of a qualified doctor, most people who are younger look like they're barely out of nappies!

I doubt if you'll agree, but I mean 'girly' in the same way as some people talked about Kelly being 'girly' and for me it is to do with being ' a man's woman' which has been done to death on this board and I'm not going down that road again.

For me Christine doesn't fit that mould in the same way that Alesha didn't, as they are both so self deprecating. Some people find that insincere - so you just can't win as a celeb as you can't please all of the people all of the time!
