My parents are distressed by anyone who hasn't been to Oxbridge - so none.

Matt Cutler would be my naughty secret if I could 'turn' him - mind you if Alesha can't then no-one can. I would also have Gethin on the side, but he's not clever enough for my parents (nor me).
Poor you. To think that you sthink you are not clever enough for them.

I'll bring home Andrew Castle for my mum. She likes his type: tall, handsome and with a good head of hair. For my dad I'll probably take Dave Arch (he's a pro, isn't he ?). He used to be in bands like Dave's and my dad likes to talk about music A LOT. While they entertain and distract my parents I would secretly show Austin my old bedroom .

So Christa's parents are distressed by much of the British population .How sad
It is said " You can teach an Oxbridge man , but you can't teach him much " , certainly not courtesy and grace this case .
I know many Oxbridge grads , one or two totally unteachable ,. but most have their feet on the ground and not in the spires .

For the academic snob Claudia has a History of Art Degree form Cambridge , Cherie went to Homerton College Cambridge ( teacher training college but it is Oxbridge )

There was a very very insightful article about John in the press this weekend written by a Cambridge friend . He was in the Footlights with Michael Palin and write a lot of sketches etc . Very apposite given his departure this week

That only gives you John Sargeant but maybe you could use his friendship to be introduced to people that your parents may like (and of an intellect you seem to want). Think Matthew Cutler would be a great naughty secret!

Couldn't you take John Sargeant?

Actually I have no idea whether he went to Oxbridge or not. Maybe someone like Andrew Castle did and we just don't know about it.
Yup, John graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford, so there's chance yet for Christa to bring home a suitable Oxbridge Strictly personality.

IIRC, Andrew Castle went to an American uni.
Nooooo!

Witty & amusing as John is - it's still Matthew all the way.

Oh I was only talking about my bfs they don't care about it in anyone else. I think I'm perfectly within my rights to take the pi$$ out of my parents' academic snobbery given how long I've put up with it.

As a shameless attempt to bring us back to page 1! - what about the professional you would like to be your partner in SCD?

Until this series, I would have chosen Erin or Camilla. They seem to work you hard but have fun along the way.

But now it has to be Kristina. Clever choreography, patience and she would be so grateful with the improvement over wotshisname she danced with this series...

As a partner for SCD, James Although I'd be taller than him in heels so Ian otherwise because he's lovely and very patient (which he'd need to be with me!!)

To meet the parents - Anton - he'd probably charm them and wouldn't be easily scared......

Guilty secret - Matthew Cutler with Ian and James in reserve..... (or maybe all three as a very very guilty secret....)

For my SCD professional - would have to be Matthew as a first choice, but actually I'd be privileged to dance with any of them!

LOL !

Perhaps, considering the highlighted part, Brendan might be a better bet.

Now that sounds like a lot of fun, rather adventurous and a little bit greedy!

Brendan? He's a pussy cat......
My Dad would eat him for brekkie (and he's over 80!)

Yes, well if you don't aim high, you may as well not bother...
