I'm fond of Christine, as I was of Jodie.

But there was very little between them overall. They both excelled at the Ballroom, whilst their Latin routines were a bit hit and miss.

Jodie was lucky to escape the dance-off after her Samba placed her in the danger zone and Christine was lucky to survive last night.

It was even stevens as far as I'm concerned.

So we are now expected to factor in their relative daily workloads.
Add this to their previous dancing experience (which is all speculation anyway) and their personalities (more speculation) and their partners (entirely a matter of personal taste)!

But NOW we have to examine their working day, number of hours worked, number of hours danced, number of hours schmoozing and doing promotion for the BBC. Or at least what we SUPPOSE they are up to.

Can't we just say some are better at others than dancing. Some appeal to some people and not others and then just accept that we have different favourites!

Very true! Hadn't thought of that one! Although with the pros, your ideas are based around Strictly and how they have danced/behaved in each series (well mine are anyway!)- not whether they are a good TV/radio presenter, or whether I thought they were obnoxious on a rugby pitch etc. I can honestly say I didn't know anything about any of the dancers before Strictly started, so all my views on them are formed from Strictly alone, whereas witht the celebs a lot of them are judged before they have even danced.....

Actually that would be me, but give she's been in the bottom two twice I'm clearly not alone. Having said that I hope you won't be able to find a post by me where I have been negative about Lisa in a nasty way. I've even said L&B did the dance of the night when they danced that fabulous VW.

I don't really have preconceived ideas at the start of SCD as the celebs are out of their normal areas (although I'm sometimes surprised when I start to like certain people better than others as I was with Jodie) and I think all of the pros are excellent.

I thought Christine's face was frozen into a smile when various people were commenting on Rachel's dancing routine. She looked furious!! Really put out although she tried to hide it. Gosh they are all so competitive!! What a dreadful bunch of people!!

Christine CAN dance ..personally I can't believe the level of nastiness around this year,unless the judges have hijacked the forums too...why choose to pick on another contestant simply because they're not your favourite and I genuinely can't believe the negative posts are coming from SCD viewers who have watched from the beginning,and understand the show.
If so the forums would have been in meltdown when Darren Gough won,but he was a truly worthy winner ,and epitomised the spirit of Strictly a total non dancer who came so far,and showed anyone can dance with hard work and perserverance, but more importantly enjoy it...and no I don't believe Colin stood a chance with or without the dummys,Darren was far too popular.
I have voted for Christine and Matt from week 1,and shall continue to do so,she's a total non dancer ,has worked incredibly hard and now she can dance,more importantly she brings a spark,and isn't dull,and you only have to look at her to see she's thoroughly enjoying the whole experience,she never expects to be voted through,as some of the others,and I would love to see her and Matt lift that glitterball.

Well, I've just watched again on YouTube and nope, sorry, still not seeing this. But then, people do tend to see what they want to see, don't they?

The only thing I get from Christine's face is that she has worked out she is probably going to be bottom of the leaderboard, and she's obviously feeling very nervous about being there... (that was more after Jodie's dance than after Rachel's though)

I thought on Sunday night when Tess was talking to them all on the sofa, that Christine and Rachel were being very nice with each other actually- lots of smiles and encouraging taps on the legs... No animosity that I could pick up- but maybe I read it wrong?

I can understand that - but I feel I'm being labelled as a horrid person for daring to say that I can't warm to the woman, I don't want her to win and I'd rather Jodie had stayed than her. I'm sorry but I know she's a trier and takes judges comments on board but I don't buy the gracious bit because I can't forget how petulant she got about her qs marks (knock for that if you will but people had a go at Austin for a negative comment about one of his rhumba marks so I'm not the only one who does it). Also how many people who think I should agree with them that Christine is utterly lovely have made negative comments about other people (and I'm not counting proven bleepers like Dom Littlewood here)?

She's very awkward in latin to me (and I don't thank Matthew for recycling the my bint's had one too many and I'm carrying her from the pub legs akimbo move) and her OTT gurning when she gets a critique is wearying.
