OK, so a dreadful week. JS forced out, the delightful Jodie gone tonight.

But Christine still remains. And with the speculated transfer of JS votes, it's still possible that a nice and genuine fun contestant can prevail.

Go Christine, avoid the dance off and the glitter ball's yours to lose.

That's your opinion and it is great that you have one.

You realise that other people might have an opinion that doesn't agree wth yours?

And please don't me thank you.

So the series can be saved by the worst dancer winning?

Interesting logic...

Christine's a nice girl and she's a good dancer but she doesn't have the talent of the others. As much as I like her and Matt I think it would be very unfortunate if she won.

Of those left in, Christine is the one I am warming to least.

Should I choose to transfer my John support I am sorry but it would not go to Christine.

I agree. I thought it was beyond tacky when Christine asked John last wednesday "who should your fans vote for now?" Akin to asking a dying man the details of his will in my opinion...you're looking desperate Christine!

Sadly for Jodie, who along with John I had previously been voting for, this whole fiasco means I shall not be voting again this series (at least).

Yes, I can see how the best dancer winning could bring this programme down

She really said that?

Oh dear. I don't watch the show she is on, so I didn't know who she was before SCD. She seems like a lovely girl but I don't know, I can't warm to her as much as others.

Never watched it before either, I only tuned in as John and Kristina went directly from the ITT studio to give Christine and Adrian another interview.

I wish John had answered something along the lines of not being able to recommend people vote in light of criticism from the judges, but gentleman to the core he gave her the answer she desperately sought.

If you read between the lines of John's comments, both at the press conference and the various interviews he gave, it is obvious how he feels about Strictly. Good grief, talk about lossing the plot here. They are all competiting for a plastic glitter ball and you would think it was the Holy Grail!! John is right to back off, I would too. Who needs to get the cold shoulder all the time from fellow contestants, to hear the judges go on programme after programme complaining about your dancing and encouraging the viewers NOT to vote for you. I think John will be much happier on the cruise ship, surrounded by decent people who are not talking behind his back. Think totally differently about Strictly now after the John fiasco. Never realised it was all so bitchy behind the scenes.

Watch it again please - Christine didn't say that, Adrian Chiles did and Christine looked quite embarrassed.

Criticise Christine for what she actually says or does if you like but not for what other people say or do.

Go Christine, avoid the dance off and the glitter ball's yours to lose.
Christine winning would be the final nail in the coffin of SCD. Tom and Rachel are the best dancers with Lisa as outsider. Austin has Erin, who is weak at Latin and will struggle to choreograph a Showdance. Christine is the weakest dancer and should go next week.

Yet another reality show that has lost the plot and distanced itself from a sizeable element of its audience.

The reactions of the Judges has made them look complete fools in the eyes of many. Then compound the situation with the 40 for Rachel.

Last week I estimated John added 1 million to the ratings and I see his final attracted an additional 1.6 million.

John had his values right and whilst having fun provided enjoyment for millions.

John is best off out of to leave the 'beuatiful people' to their own petty squabbles over a piece of plastic from the Pounstretcher.

Just because Lisa has received higher marks, it doesn't mean she's a better dancer. You're believing the judges spin.

boring Rachel Stevens!!!
Perhaps, but by jove she's turning into a terrific dancer and that's not boring in the slightest. The one thing I noticed on Saturday was that there was a real air of excitement now that the field has narrowed and the contestants who are left are so close together. It was a really enjoyable and nail-biting programme.

You can say this as many times as you like, but it still doesn't make it true.

I stand corrected, even though I watched it myself I really did think Christine had posed the question herself.

I can see why I thought that though. The question came as no surprise to her (I seriously doubt it wasnt discussed during rehearsal) and without a whiff of embarassment Christine told John "I will do my best for you" as if his public popularity was some legacy that could be passed on.

It doesn't need saving from the dancers (except graceless James) but from the judges and the viewers who are tempted to make such gratuitously unpleasant comments on TV and in print.

WE are the ones who should think about our attitudes and actions.
