Rachel is a current smoker and has been seen with a pack of cigs on ITT apparently (not actually smoking on ITT though). I would have thought that smoking reduces lung capacity and would make it harder for a dancer celeb to breathe properly during a routine. She might be favourite now to win, though that does not mean she will actually get the public vote.

So has a known current smoker EVER won SCD ?

I think a few of the pro dancers smoke - Vincent being one. Not sure about a previous winner though Matt Di Angelo smokes and he was runner up - just in case anyone forgot.

On Celebrity Smoking List one entry says Rachel gets through 60 ciggies a day. Her rumba was great and her foxtrot, but Len found her jive a bit lacklustre. Will she suffer in the more energy-intensive dances ?

Some of the pro dancers definitely smoke, they don't seem to suffer because of it.

Matthew Cutler smokes, so a smoker has won!!! So does Nicole Cutler and Vincent Simone! Bruno is also a heavy smoker and has to leave the studio for a ciggie in the breaks in recording!

im not suprised at vincent, rachel (as most singers do) & Nicole..
and i wouldnt be suprised about James and brendan and lisa..

but obviously as i said before, its completely their choice & im not going to love them any less

So, if Rachel and Vincent win, it will be a double triumph for the smokers.

Vincent, James and Matthew all smoke. As does Bruno (though he's a judge). I'm not sure about the women though.

The pros don't seem to have a problem with the high-energy dances - even with their smoking.

I believe James may smoke too, but haven't seen him. I have seen all the others.

lmao that made me laugh bless them. and it obviously doesnt effect any of the pros, they have been doing it for years and still dance fantastically..

i remember a thread like this about dancing on ice, and it seems alot of professionals of any kind of performing like, acting, singing, dancing etc. seem to smoke.
