X Factor's worst "bum note" ever?
Definition of "bum note" being stretched here to mean off-key or in-key but really horrible-sounding.
I'm going with the one which inspired me to make the thread: Diana on the last chorus of "Patience". "Have a little, Pay-tiaaahh-aaaaah-*fog-horn*-ence." We were rolling all over the living room floor when they kept replaying it on the recap of the performances. |

It's definitely gotta be Diana.
Niki's many performances train behind though, as does Rachel a few weeks ago. |

"You're the only one, who REALLY KNEW MEEEEEEE AT AAAAAAAAAHEHHAAAAAAAAALL" by Rachel is the worst this year, definitely.

My only "bum" association with x-factor on Saturday was the shot of Holly when she went into the stylist department and the camera was behind her... well, behind on the stairs!!!
![]() Okay, taking my mind out of the gutter... this series, Rachel a various points on Mariah night was ear shattering, Diana during "Patience" last Saturday, Eoghan apparently re-entering puberty on Saturday also (good job there was a choir there to sing the high notes for them and then let him take all the credit, eh?) |

While Rachel's Against Odds and the second half of And I Am Telling You both were chock full of notes that were so far out of tune they were in the previous week's performance, I still have to go with the End of Feelin' Good, if only because it was so LOooOOOuD and off...and the comic effect of the pseudo-dramatic pause and smug look after 'Annnnd I'm Feeee-lin'...followed by that angry sea lion on steroids bellowing through a warped megaphone sounding Hoo O oooOONNnNK!!

I understand that since her exit, Rachel has been hired as an autotune tester - testing the devices to the max!
I hate autotune with the fire of a thousand suns, because IMO if someone cant handle a vocal without that kind of help ,they should get out of the way and leave it to real singers.....but that is a great suggestion..if it can survive her bellowing, it can survive anything ! ![]()

Diana's brutal slaughtering of Yellow ranks high (and is rank too)
Esp that final "And all the fings that yooooouhoooo dew..." Closely followed by Diana's mangling this week of ... and I'm not sure of the song title, but I'm guessing cos I know for a fact twas Take That week, *Pay...shunz....* |

Rachel with Against All Odds. No excuses, just a bad performance from start to finish.
