Can Christine Win?
She isn't as consistant as the others; however she has shown her worth in a couple of dances; however you do get the feeling that on saturday nights the dances could go either way for her.
From a public point of view she has many factors which work in her favour - she works on a prime time TV show so is therefore recognisable and identifyable; she is also with one of the most liked pros as well. Unless she makes an extreme rapid improvement on some of the techniques of the dances then it is likely that she will place bottom of the leaderboard from now on; the fact she still has to do a tango I don't think is going to work in her favour asd well (as the serious paso has shown) However, assuming Lisa came bottom of the public vote on saturday then Christine must have at least polled 3rd place with the viewers; with Jodie and John going she is the only contestant left who could be considered an underdog by the public and therefore get the massive vote. So putting everything together - is it reasonable to assume that Christine has a good shot of winning? IMO if she continues to improve and works very hard she could be in with a shot of winning. Jodie and John leaving may help her to actually top the votes; especially as well if she is continually slated by the judges grim. |

She has a lot going for her ......
....but I think that when it comes to the actual final that the quality of dancing takes voting precedence over all the other factors - and so it should be imho. |

Anybody has a statisical chance of winning if they are still in the competition. I hope not though, unless she shows a vast improvement in the coming weeks, as she is now probably the weakest dance left.

One thing we should remember is that Christine's average score is just 28.2 and she has never scored more than 34, which is well under the top score of the others left in. Of the 3 dancers last Saturday who scored less than the previous week, her fall was the greatest - from 34 to 27 points (as opposed to Austin and Erin, 38 to 35, and Jodie and Ian, 33 to 30).
I think this suggests two things - one, the judges can't see a 'wow factor' that would push them to award one or two more marks, and two, that Christine has a larger discrepancy between her Latin and her ballroom than any other celeb left in. Of course, the fact she's likely to be at the bottom of next week's leaderboard is probably in her favour, as it was this week - but how long will people persist in the belief that she really is as good as the other candidates out there? The stats speak for themselves

I think the 2-dances per show will really seperate the dancers this week. I expect Tom and Rachel will do well with the workload, Lisa and Christine will struggle and Austin could go either way.
Just my perceptions and I could be totally wrong. Particularly given how well Lisa has apparently learned the dance-steps to date. |

I want a person who couldn't dance before they went on the show to win. I also have no problem with Christine winning as she brings a lift to a depressing series this year.

She could win and is a delightful personality as well as a hard worker, which appeals to a lot of the public, including me. I don't think she will win but who knows?

She could purely by public vote.

She seems to have a lot of public support so she could win. She seems to work really hard and she has such a great personality. Dancing wise, there are stronger celebrities but if I'm to be honest, there are a couple of others I would rather see leave before Christine but I think that all 5 couples are fabulous!! Good luck to her

I like Christine and would really like her to go further in the competition but realistically I don't think she will. With luck she might end in the bottom two with Austin and if so, if both danced Latin and Austin mucked it up, the judges might let him go to save her. We can only hope, but I think it's unlikely. My guess is that Christine will go next weekend.

Not a dancing ability but anyone who the Judges slag off presently looks like being saved. She really should have been in the bottom two this week, I think Jodie deserved another week.

Of course she can win. She is clearly more popular with the public than any of her female counterparts, and maybe the males ones as well.
The judges have been well and truely discredited this year. Being bottom of their leaderboard is probably an advantage. I hope they sack the lot of them for the next series. |

Well, I think the first question is can she get to the final in the first place? I'd say it's unlikely.
If Christine finds herself in the bottom two with either Rachel, Tom or Austin, she won't be saved. If she's in the bottom two with Lisa, she might be chosen, but I think it's unlikely. I imagine that next week, Lisa is almost a dead cert for bottom two. The biggest question is whether Rachel or Christine will join her there. From what we know and can guess about the voting figures, the two blokes are safe enough. They seem to be occupying the top two spots in terms of public votes and will probably come in the top three in terms of the leader board. Christine will almost certainly be bottom of the leaderboard and I'd say there is a fair chance that Rachel will be top. For Christine to avoid the bottom two, she'd need to beat Tom and Austin in the public vote to pick up the full five points. With the votes she may have picked up from the JS supporters, this might be a possibility. However, if Rachel tops the leaderboard, all she needs to do is pick up more public votes than Lisa, giving her 2 points for a total of 7, which would beat Christine's 6. Basically, if Christine wants to stay out of the bottom two, she needs to either avoid the bottom of the leaderboard, or top the public poll. She might score higher than Lisa, if Lisa has a duff night and Christine is at her best, but I'd say it's highly unlikely she'll score better than any of the other three. Can she beat Tom and Austin in the public vote? I don't know. |

My hunch is that, in a two-person final, any of the females could win against either of the other two.
However, I expect there to be at least one male in the final....and I would expect him to win against any of the females. The most unpredictable final I reckon would be an all-male final. |

At this point, I think anybody can win now. Christine, or perhaps Matthew's popularity certainly has enough vote's to save them for the Finale.
Christine has improved hugely since Week 1, and she is currently my favourite celebrity remaining in the competition. Personally, I would love to see her and Matthew in the Finale. |
