Bob,

How can you can CH4 HD? Is this on 11098? It is still listed as Videogurad in Lyngsat.

Not searching through 20 pages but had a series timer for Heroes, went to set up a record for a little later next Wednesday (no Heroes) and it wiped my series record and didn't record it last night.

That was nasty, I think it may be better messages required

Very much off topic

I'm not sure about the frequency, but using the "Laurals list" and a Humax HDCI-2000 it is possible, but you would need to search elsewhere for the details.
Have a Google afternoon
Bob.

Has CSI Miama fail on me - Tuesday nights recording at 9pm on Five

Just recorded 1st minute, no indication of any error, only odd thing was it said scheduled time was 21.00 to 21.01

Anybody else have this happen (or successfully record it)?

Wondering if it was a false end signal sent by the broadcaster, or the box throwing another wobbly. If the former I think I might be better off switching to manual padding, if the latter hopefully Humax will release an update soon...

Problems so far when pvr is left on -

1. One occurance of lost picture on both hdmi and scart, sound OK, when left on More4. It was still responsive as I could change channels, and from the front panel think I could also enter EPG etc, although without a picture it's difficult to be sure. Putting the pvr into standby didn't help, it required unplugging from the mains to fix it.

2. Two occurances of lockup, both when left on BBC News. Picture and sound were OK but no response to remote or front panel. OK after unplugging from the mains.

I don't think it is an overheating problem, the pvr isn't in a cabinet and has plenty of space above and around for good ventilation.

Tonight, I had a programme set to record between 20:00 and 21:00, with two programmes set to record at 21:00.

At 21:00, whilst watching another channel, I was presented with an conflict notice, and didn't have chance to read the options before it disappeared, and this resulted in a failed recording (one of the programmes that started at 21:00).

This isn't the first time I've seen this happen either.

Mine hung up today at 8.59 recording the bill. I pressed the EPG to get to HD for Apparitions. I couldn't turn EPG off had to switch off to get it to work so lost last minute of the bill

I found the remote also sometime not respond to being pressed had to press hard to get it to work

It was, both Digiguide and seeing a little of it half way through confirm it

Radio Times says simulcast on BBC HD on the BBC3 listing at 2200 for heroes. On the BBC HD listing it says Wallender Ep 3 - oops

I had set my box #1 to record Foyle's War and have just got home to find it has not started to record it

Item is still in scheduler for 21:00 this evening but unit was still in standby when I got home

My first failure to start a recording

Automan.

I lost confidence in the software quality of this box after I lost all scheduled recordings (series link) simply by doing a channel re-scan. I currently feel like I've paid £300 to be a beta tester.

I had 5 minutes padding on the end so I got it all. As far as I am aware channel 4 don't broadcast AR information (unless someone can correct me?)

Yeah, me too. Years of experience has taught me that 5 minutes padding is worth it's weight in gold.

Oddly enough I was recording the Peter Kay program on my Sony 910 freeview PVR without any padding set from the guide and that didn’t stop till the end and over ran as I was waiting for it to stop recording to my surprise

Luckily I recoded Eddie Izzard straight after, which, incidentally, finished before the scheduled end time (even though Peter Kaye over-ran).

While we're on the subject, anyone know whether the auto/padding gets set at the time of making the reservation or at the time of the actual recording itself (as per the setting at that particular time).

I guess it'd be nice if there was a setting to 'use accurate time (if available for the station) else pad x minutes'
