I created a folder called Test and found that I couldn't delete it at all! The File Manager went through the motions, but it was still there until I reformated!
This is not the "can't delete whilst recording" feature, where the delete option is disabled. Can someone with an empty disk please confirm this bug? |

I think he must be including 'cursor up' commands!

I have noted that sometimes I have to press the power on button twice to get it to power up....
Also I have no new icons for yesterday's recordings. My unit was recording Highlander between 00:50~03:01 so I guess it is in that time frame that the icon creation process runs if the unit is idle... Automan. |

Another small point which may be the program providers fault....
Starsky & Hutch is back on but the '&' sign gets displayed & in the program title. On Zone Thriller BTW. Automan. |

still waiting..............
But fascinating reading about these so-called 'bugs' which don't really seem all that problematic and I am sure Bob will report any that ARE a big problem to Humax for a later firmware update. So thanks for giving me a preview of what to expect. I am also keen to get the Hard Disk upgraded to 1TB too when I get it. I see the one mentioned is already down in price due to Vat cut I believe. Excellent. Also, can anyone tell me how much diskspace a HiDef recording takes up? eg xMB per hour. Thanks again. Barry. |

Please tell me this isn't true! Surely it can't be that difficult
![]() 1) If you've just been watching something and have just hit STOP you click OK to select the item you've been watching cursor down 2 to the delete option click OK - get a do you really want to delete dialog cursor left to Yes (defaults to no) click OK wait a few seconds while it actually deletes it So that's 'only' 6 by my count Now that's bad enough, BUT you can't currently delete anything if the box is recording. So in that case you need to delete things at a later point: 2) Deleting things at a later point Click the button to get to list of recordings Navigate to the recording (if it's a series recording it's in a folder so you need to navigate to the folder click OK then navigate down to the episode) Then delete as for case (1) Repeat as above until you've cleared out all the things you've watched - so yes this is quite painfully slow. Humax really need to allow Deletion at any time, and ought to have a way of showing all viewed recordings in a single list so that you can delete each one with a single button press (like you can on a Sky+ box). |

Take it there is no notion of selecting mulitple recordings and then doing a delete on them. Guess I've been spoilt by "MyStuff" EPG on the Topfield 5800 !
Yes there is - you need to go into the File Manager, and then edit mode. That gives you the checkboxes that allows you to select multiple files for deletion (or move/copy) |

I'd certainly say that if this is the "best" that we can come up with in a Bugs thread then Humax have done a sterling job and ..... want mine to arrive like now !

Yes I must agree the unit has no "show stopper" bugs.
Well done Humax ![]() Most of the items in this thread I would imagine could be easily fixed / changed with an easy way to delete recordings anytime being high on the list... Automan. |

If you have a series link and want to remove several episodes within that series' folder, can you just delete the folder rather than having to go into it to select all the episodes? |

Thanks for that, I was wondering what your plans were.
Back to the bugs, has anyone managed to get around the single cable upgrade problem?

Except for the fact that you can't do a software upgrade with one LNB!

Thanks Snoods.
I will use 6GB an hour as a good average figure then. Seems like the 1TB upgrade is a necessity then for HD recording. Incidentally I didn't know the Bill was transmitted in HD. |

Here's a real, but minor bug...
I made a recording from BBC HD (A Little Later - 26th 19:50) but when I replay the recording, the "i-plate" shows info for "Raven" (the preceding programme) I did have the recording set to start 2 minutes early, but the i-plate info never changes. All other recordings have the correct i-plate. This will be a difficult one to diagnose! |

No, it's not difficult at all; happens with a lot of digital recorders. The programme info i grabbed at the time that the recording starts, not constantly checked all the way through. So if you start a recording early, you'll get the info for the programme that's current at the time.

Someone mentioned auto-management of deleting items. NO THANKS! An easier way to remove items would be good though. |

I'm sorry if this has already been mentioned or asked somewhere-
