RUG Update - a tragic but inspiring tale.....

Oh this is soo sad!

The RUG lady rang me back and said that although I hadn't won tickets, because I was a genuine fan with whom they had had dealings in the past, they had RESERVED ME two tickets for opening night anyway.....!

Which should be great news, except....


...I can't go! It's my Masters Graduation ceremony and my Mum is SO up for it and SO proud and we've already got our tickets and everything!

But the weird thing is that I already knew about this clash of dates, so I'm almost 100% sure that I didn't even ENTER the competition in the first place, because I knew there was a danger this might happen!

I think the lady put the tickets aside for me because of the whole Curlgate thing, and also because I sent them another email saying how great all the fans' reviews had been!

Anyway, we discussed it, and it turns out that they could only hold the tickets at the Box Office until 5.30pm, and the ceremony is at 3.00pm, 200 miles away, so there was no way we could resolve the situation....

I even asked if I could swap them for a different night, and then she said she couldn't, cos opening night is 'invitation only!'

I could have been there with all the Joes and ALW and BK and everyone.....


....but I had no choice but to turn them down!

I love Lee but I love my Mum more, and she would have been devastated if I had prevented her from seeing me graduate!

I'd better get my reward for this in heaven!

Oh I dont' blame you CA, with horrid weather, what else can you be expected to do. And you can top up the tan over the weekend. sounds all good to me.

Know that I have to put real life commitments before Leelife commitments but am going to strop every time it's mentioned between now and April.

Hi am fine thanks hon very busy, moving next week, and start new job, so lots to keep me occupied, Radio Two no idea, straw clutching really, but so much going on, and new grandchild due next week, on opening night actually, really wierd when son found out it was a boy they decide to call him JOSEPH that was before ADWD started.
