Morning all,

Just read the review in The Times and I have to report that Benedict Nightingale considers Lee "a stronger star than Jason Donovan", "an attractive singing voice", "lots of affable charisma" etc.

He enjoyed it more last night than he did 16 years ago

From ~The Express: "he has a great talent and will go far. His voice is firm, clear and convincing"

Just making my way to The Telegraph now - nothing in my Independent.

Hi shelly

It was nice to see them all hug him and yes he did look fab. Its great to see him looking so happy and with shining eyes. Looks like opening night went well (barr the technical hitch)

In the Telegraph, Charles Spencer admits to having voted for Lee lol.

"What Lee Mead has in spades is charm, crucial in a role that could easily seem unattractively priggish. He also looks good in a loincloth, and has a powerful and expressive voice, heard to particularly fine effect on the dramatic Close Every Door..."

He does say that Lee's voice sounded a bit frayed by the end and advises the management to take care of him.

On the whole a positive review - the man clearly likes our boy lots

Daily Mail "Lee - he is one of those actors for whom the Mr Mead bit seems arch - is a handsome hit. " Also mentioned a weak voice- wonders maybe if he has the flu?!, "But he has stage presence and a winning way and the public, having voted for him on BBC1's Any Dream Will Do, will forgive him much. Good. He deserves it. "

I will stop worrying now

I saw the clip on Breakfast just before 7, as hubby was in the room too. I said - "God he looks good wearing eyeliner" and my dearest OH said "petal, he'd look good wearing a custard pie". A prince among men! (both of them)

Bless him, maybe he has really weedy thighs and can't bare the thought of another man having thighs of steel

Dear Fluffy's boss,

Fluffy fell over and hit her head this morning, necessitating a period of respite in front of the BBC news in order to rule out any permanent brain damage.

As it turns out she is merely suffering from Meaditis which can cause dizzy (or ditzy) spells and periods of mental haze. There is no known cure and allowances should be made for her.

Sincerely Yours,
Nurse Bunny
