You obviously don't follow football, tennis or golf then?
Cricket? What sports are we good at?![]() Our football team had a terrible manager and a crisis in confidence, but they are in no way rubbish and we have a lot of great club footballers who compete on the world stage. Our main British tennis player is number 4 in the world and has made a grand slam final. We also have rapidly improving ladies, a junior Wimbledon Champion and a doubles player who is not just a grand slam champion, but also a regular grand slam semi-finalist. We're not great at tennis, but we're no longer rubbish. I dn't know about golf and I'm not going to mention cricket considering recent results!

I watched DWTS for the first time last week, and was shocked to see how they treat Len as a GOD
No wonder he prefers it over there. And, he does master classes with all the contestants, and they all bow to "the master". I found it quite weird. |

Maybe they don't have forums over there?
![]() Just thinking about Kristi on SCD. I think that she was top of the leaderboard every week bar one (or was Jason only joint top with her?) She would be automatically and slagged for being too good. I loved her though. Americans go for different drama than the UK. Just look at all the "arguements" in WWE for example. Makes the X Factor look like a knife fight in a dark alley. The DWTS dramas tend to be hospital related with people getting injured all the time and even collapsing on the live show. That and showmances. And unicycles. |

I have a vague memory of him visiting Alesha and Matt but I may have just made it up.
![]() I always associate that with DWTS though-so maybe I'm confusing the two?? |

As we are rewarding mediocrity. At least you didn't mention Tim Henman

Thing is, they leave it on the boards and don't make it major news! lol, who knew that Americans are less hysterical than us??

Cricket? What sports are we good at?Clearly the British are not at the very top in these sports but it's just really silly to suggest that they're rubbish. And, incidentally, did you watch the Olympics this year?

I watched DWTS the other night and what a dull, flat, unexciting programme it was ..... well, I never got to the end.
The presenter was such an old square, no fun, no jokes, he could have been presenting a politics show. Never heard of any of the celebs, and the whole thing never felt as if it were a 'live' show, it was stagnant and stale. So glad we have our version and was pleased to see our Brucie and Co with our 'live' edition ..... made me feel like we do things properly over here.
