Im not usually a fan of vincent & flavia (probably because they have too much air time when it should be matthew instead...) but I thought their dance during the results show yesterday was absolutely fantastic.

The choreography was great and I liked how vincent started the dance. The music was excellent as well, and it also helped that the singers were not singing..

But the only thing that put me off the whole thing was I found that flavia did not look once into vincent's eyes the whole time...

What did all of you think of the dance?

Loved it! (Mind you I always love V & F). And I thought Flavia was a lot more animated than in recent dances.

So did they get back together after her fling last year?

It wasn't a fling, Flavia and Matt are still together (this was confirmed recently by Flavia herself).

I thought the dance was absolutely wonderful. Very different from the usual AT style but it really suited them and the choreography was fantastic!

I thought he was going out with that Chanelle/Chantelle girl. However, it is great to hear they are still together!

I was absolutely mesmerised by the pair of them as always. If you take a look at other Milonga's dances you will see that its not a dance where the couple have 'look' into each others eyes.

absolutely loved their dance! so happy and cheerful and i loved the section where flavia danced over vincents feet. they are definately some of the most talented dancers on the show (in my opinion THE best but everyone has different tastes ) i love watching them dance, and that was amazing

ETA: also fabulous how lovely and smiley it all was, they both seemed to really enjoy it

Can I just say how lovely it was to see Flavia smiling her gorgeous smile while dancing? It made the dance even more lovely than it already was. Normally my eyes are on Vincent and him being animated but I couldn't take my eyes of Flavia. I barely noticed Vincent was there!

I've watched it several times lol and a few more than that... i really do try and watch their feet but my eyes just fix to Flavia's smile... i'm assuming it will take me another good few viewings before i can actually concentrate on their feet

i thought she looked the most animated i have ever seen her. Just watched it again and they looked like they were having great fun. They looked straight at each other many times.

I absolutely loved it. The intricacy of the footwork was amazing, and it was great to see them looking so happy and smiley. Their AT is usually the highlight of the series for me, but this was just so lighthearted and fun....I'm sure I've spent more hours watching it, than they did learning it.

One of the few dances this series that I have watched several times.
So intricate, complex and uplifting.
They dance with such speed and accuracy and joy – making each move and lift seems effortless.
Perfect timing and partnership.
They draw the audience in and engage them in the performance.

Brilliant!

I didn't like it at the start - the bit where she's facing away from him for a minute got on my nerves. And it's not particularly authentic Milonga - some parts look more like a fast Tango to me. And it doesn't feel "led".

However, it is Milonga, which is always great, and watching it a few times, it's grown on me - after they come together around half-way through it gets better.

I also loved the cheeky bit where she steps on his toes

It was posted on all the related threads on DS (even had its own thread at one time). Date? Approx beginning of October. Will try to find the post and provide a link.

One or two of the papers picked it up but because it was good news it was obviously not considered newsworthy.

After speculation on the beeb board (as you'd expect from there some of it quite barbed and by some claiming insider knowledge who turned out not to have it) and a few outright porkies from the tabloids and downmarket mags (not new except some people actually forgot to take the requisite pinch of salt that you always have to deploy when reading such material) - Flavia actually issued a statement on her and Vincent's website to clarify things - no doubt for the fans and anyone whom the fans wanted to tell. The straw that broke the camel's back may have been someone went to a charity shindig was at and expressed the erroneous opinion she was dating her agent who it turns out is married and I can't imagine that went down with him or his mrs for that matter.

Their dance was amazing and V&F seemed to have some of the old chemistry back - it must be so hard dancing with an ex! Camilla and Brendan couldn't even dance together professionally after their split (apart from the Euro dance competition last year) and they were together for a similar length of time as V&F. Is it just me that wishes V&F would get back together - I think Matt is cute but Flavia looks too old for him. The Sun said M&F had both moved in together recently, not sure if that part is true?
