Just witnessed an offensive charm offensive on ITT about how being a judge is sooooo difficult! A shameless and desperate attempt to win back some of the support which has evaporated in the last couple of weeks.
It's a hard life apparently and they now seem to want some understanding about how difficult everything gets when you have to make life or death decisions, and we should forgive them their little tantrums because they're under so much pressure. Bah, so transparent!

Well I for one thought that it was a particularly open and honest piece, but then again I don't have any particular axe to grind.

I think if you look at it objectively, being a judge is very difficult/hard. I think Ian summed it up very well. The problem with our SCD judges is they're unfortunately, inconsistent neither do they appear to be fair. The only judge I listen to is Craig, I tend to agree with most of the things he says but the others or so outrageously bad in their assessment that it is hard to take them seriously.

It is so HARD sitting there with yer trakkie bottoms on and thinking up amazingly and astonishingly accurate alliterations for a measly few £K.

You wouldn't catch me doing it. Oh, NO!

If the judges stuck to judging I might have some sympathy. As it is their awful behaviour means they deserve all the flak they get.

The judges are the spawn of Satan.

How dare they lay claim to human emotions and feelings.

I thought it was rather hilarious
Subtle as a sledge hammer
I'd be happy earning £90K doing a job as difficult as theirs

Just out of curiosity, do any of the judges have any written qualifications, as in dancing diplomas etc?

We always thought, to be a judge, one has to have the qualifications as well as experience.

when all is said and done its a pretty good job and they've all become starts because of it - with some of that stardom will come some scrutiny and criticism. If you dish it out then you'll get it back sometimes.

How difficult it must be to shed croc tears whilst comparing a contestant to a stick insect on acid.

Shame on you Craig - call us cynics if you like, but the croc tears and wringing of hands were less than convincing.

Perhaps you need a drama coach.

Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips and musical mastermind Andrew Lloyd Webber are to be guest judges at the very first Express Eventing International Cup.

The two TV favourites, who are famous for working with the very best musical and dance talents on the stage and screen, will critique the dressage (or ‘dancing’) section of this exciting new form of the equestrian sport of eventing at the Millennium Stadium on 30 November.

Express Eventing, in association with British Eventing, is a condensed version of three-day eventing – dressage, show jumping and cross country – packed into just half a day and under the roof of the international sporting arena, the Millennium Stadium.

Arlene and Andrew will be giving their outspoken views on how the very best riders from around the world interpret the music in the dressage arena.

Agree with some here. It's so desparate and pathetic trying to justify the horrible bullying behaviour of the judges. Craig is not better than any other, he's the most inconsistent one can ever find. If you record 3 interviews of him you'll find none of them are consistent to himself. I guess they've received too much complaints and thought brainwashing would help. They deliberately ignore John Sergeant in the whole ITT as if he didn't exist. They probably think that people would just forget everything and think that the judges are a bunch of nice people doing a very difficult job. NOT, THEY ARE NOT! They've been paid lots of money to have their bum on seat and bully the tall, the short, the old and the young in public.

Yes .

It was a hilarious piece of damage limitation - and I have no axe to grind. Of course we know judging is difficult sometimes and judges' decisions are often unpopular - but that isn't what everyone was upset about.

Brought it all back into the spotlight I'm afraid.

So on one thread the judges have their own favourites and consistently over mark them. On another they are inconsistent. Make your minds up folks.

There's nowt like a conspiracy is there? BTW the idea that someone of John's calibre could be bullied by sdome judges comments is laughable.

Time to move on me thinks.

This show has become a farce.....

In the John Barrowman backstage footage Len said each 'week a good dancer will go'.

Then in the phone-in today he said deciding who should go last Saturday, was a 'no brainer'.

Which indicates the choice last saturday was not difficult.

Clearly the producers are rattled by last weeks events, hence the video CV of the judges dancing careers?

ITT was hilarious. Talk about lack of subtlety. The rehabilitation of the judges. For God's sake, I wish they didn't insult my intelligence. As if, that piece is going to undo all the crap they have come out with, oh poor them, how they have been misunderstood.
