Yes, I found the nitrous acid perfume a tad overwhelming in the mousse. I sent it back to the lab for re-testing.

The man is a complete and utter w_an*er! He is seriously taking the piss.

Get the message ???

He's probably (secretly) working out the best way to cook human brains as I type this.

No mate, it is £125 each. It is one of the best restaurants in the World so it's gonna cost a bit.

Never mind the price, it sounds vile. Who on earth wants to eat any of that?

Nope, never been there and to be honest I wouldn't be able to eat most of that, I like good food but not anything that over the top.

Edit: Go to Purnells instead

I'd love to go. But not if I have to get a loan out to pay for it.

I don't like offal or trying-too-hard-to-be-clever food like snail porridge *retches* or eau de the sea stuck in a jelly cube or whatever, so I can only go to unfashionable restaurants. I'd recommend Roast or The Wolseley instead.

It's a bit out there is the Fat Duck food. But bet you it tastes better than it sounds.

EDIT TO ASK: Are you Heston by any chance?

Dying to go there, the man is a genius. My mother is the type that could never enjoy restaurant food if she thought she could do it herself at home and as I cook a lot her influence has kinda ruined eating out for me. Wouldn't even know where to begin with Heston's food so yeah I'd love to go there.

But I can barely afford to cook interesting food at home and couldn't dream spend that kind of money on a single meal. That's more than my monthly grocery bill.

It also says on the menu:

"A selection of wines by the glass are available to accompany this menu at £90 and £165 per person"

Doesn't sound very appetizing, but I'd definitely give it a go - if someone else was paying

I'd have to agree.

Maybe I'm scum with a bad palate but 'ice-filtered lamb puree' makes me gag rather than salivate.

I'm sure Monty Python have already covered taking the piss out of pretentious twaddle like this.

Because everyone on the table has to have the tasting menu, you can't have a few of you have it and others have the normal menu.

If you think about it, a table could have 6 people on, do you really think one of the best restaurants in the World would serve you at £20 per head?
