I liked it when Natasha Kaplinsky did it.

Too common, chavvy and self-promoting for me.

The last time someone started a thread like this, someone mentioned Rosemarie Ford who used to do the Generation Game with Bruce.

She's a dancer, so she would be amazing, I think.

I definitely don't want Alesha, lovely girl, but that cackling is too intrusive. The presenter should be just that, someone who frames the celebs, not dominates them. I'd actually prefer Zoe Ball of the previous contestants, she has previous presenting experience at least.

Samantha Harris does a really good job in the US, I think you need someone like her.

Funny, I always think she makes Tess look competent!

With Zoe I think people would get annoyed with everyone and everything being 'wicked'

At least Samantha doesn't grope the contestants and she actually asks questions beyond "oooh, that was fantastic". The thing that really annoys me about Tess is that she never asks questions, she just makes comments, you never find out anything relevant.

I know the dancers are on an adrenaline high after their performance, but Tess just ask a bloomin question.

And I agree with Zoe and the wicked thing, but she's older now and if she's told not to do it, I think she'd be ok. She has lots of experience with live telly.

I noticed a few comment's on Fearne's good job presenting the Children In Need Special .

I couldn't make my mind up on her - Did she suit presenting Strictly?

Would you be happy to have Fearne Cotton presenting alongside Brucie, rather than Tess Daly?

I wouldn't mind at all, as long as :-
A) She was banned from using the word 'amazing'***
B) Was made to wear the shortest skirts/skimpiest outfits.

*** I fully understand that this would decrease her vocabulary by about 80%

Hmmm....lots of posts about who shouldn't do it, very few about who should. Guess it's not as easy as the "scrap this person / fire this person" brigade would like to make out.

And as for the comments about certain people being to common or too chavvy - nice to see good old-fashioned British snobbery is still alive and kicking among the SCD viewers

Aren't being 'common' and 'northern' the same thing?

Yes, I gave Rosemarie a mention .

She is very glamarous, and it would be a fantastic way of getting back into the limelight for her.
