Songs everyone seems to hate but you love
Took my inspiration for this from the other thread and the other ones on the TV Programmes forum (one of which was mine!)
The Saturdays - If This is Love (don't know anyone who knows or likes this song but it's one of my personal favourites) Last edited by cnbcwatcher : 25-11-2008 at 12:31. Reason: add something |

Umbrella by Rhianna. I don't like any of her other stuff, and I agree with those who say she's not a great singer, but I can't help loving Umbrella.

The Cheeky Song. I think it's great, superbly crafted simple pop.

Loving Same Difference too, but I don't want to get their song as I'm holding out for the album
can you say impatience??OK, here's a sample off the top of my head... It's Chico Time - Chico Lollipop - MIKA (and all his songs for that matter) YMCA - The Village People (it's a tune!!) Anything from High School Musical (to be fair, if you like the films you like the music... perhaps not usually as excessively as I do though) Gareth Gates - Suspicious Minds... I think he sings it really well... There're actually worse things on my iPod but I just can't bring myself to list them

Bones - Killers.
There seems to be a general feeling that this is their worst song but it is one of my favourites from them. |

"Doop" by Doop, though admittedly that got to No1 so couldn't have been that unpopular.
Just re-bought it on iTunes! G |

I'd genuinely never ever heard of Umbrella until I heard a housey dance mix of the chorus of it pumping out of some of the bars in Gran Canaria last November. Even then I had no idea what it actually was, I just thought it was some typically catchy gay Euro tune. I was amazed and gobsmacked to find out it was something that had just been number one for 10 weeks in the UK.
Me neither, it had been No1 for weeks before I heard it by accident. Didn't like it though. Not very Radio 2 playlist is prob the reason. G |
