Greaseproof paper

Hi,
To save money on bread/cakes/pizza etc i've bought myself a breadmaker.

I went to make a cake yesterday and the instructions said "line the inside container with greaseproof paper".
It might as well have said "solve the credit crunch crisis".

How on earth do you get it in so it doesnt go all foldy and pointy leaving gaps when you glop the cake goo in?

Yes I am a bloke

Did you skip the chapter on taking the origami course before first using the appliance?

I have a bread maker too. Great idea in principle but I have used it twice in a year lol

I would cut a sheet of greaseproof paper like this:
______
|_:...:_| _ = cut
| : X: |
|_:...:_| ... = fold
|_:_ :_|

So that the middle section (X) is about the size of the the tin. The two side flaps can then be folded up, and the top flaps folded around, to make a kind of basket. A bit of butter will keep them in place, and then just pour the mixture straight in. Hope this makes sense!

You could invest in some bake-o-glide, it's AMAZING!

It's a re-usable non-stick surface than you can cut to size to fit your pans and re-use over and over again. It's fantastic and never let me down. You can buy from somewhere like Lakeland. Means you only have to cut it the once!
