Hi there,

I live in Ireland, so these drinks are not availbale, but used to be, I'm heading up to the Northern Irish border to get some christmas shopping, and I'm wondering are these drink sold in the UK, and if so what shop would they be sold in? Ifn anyone could help it would be great, as I'm heading up north on thursday.

Thanks,

I haven't seen Vanilla coke in a while. Not sure if it was special release.
As for mountain dew that's like rocking horse poo...never seen it in shops.
You can get it online at www.cybercandy.com by mail order from their london store, but you have to buy a minimum of I think 24 cans

Nice, I will check it out.

I remeber I had vanilla coke in berlin last summer, so it is still around just thought the UK might have it.. ah well.

as for mountain dew, supervalu down the road had it for a while, I think I must've been the only one buying it as they never got it again, i loved it

I will check the site

I don't think they do Vanilla Coke anymore, apparently it wasn't popular enough. I personally found it nasty when I tried it once

Mountain Dew isn't available here. Tried to find it but alas no luck.

I go skiing in Canada once a year and overload on the stuff while I'm over there. I just like the taste. It was only after a while that I realised that it was laden with caffeine.
Still, it's nice to go into a KFC and to be able to choose MD as my drink.

I no longer can find Vanilla Coke as well, which is quite sad. I do find Pepsi Vanilla Diet, but i dont like it that much. I think the vanilla flavo(u)ing is going away for some reason. Ive nothing to support that guess though.

You can get Mountain Dew (12 pack or single can if you want) from American Sweets

http://www.americansweets.co.uk/moun...soda-236-c.asp

Edit: They are also UK based

I make my own by putting a drop of vanilla extract (not essence) into a glass of coke lol.

I don't think the flavoured versions of either cola do very well over here.
The only one that's lasted are the cherry versions. I like to think my tastebuds are representative of the nations'.
I've tried all of them (lemon, lime, vanilla - any others I'm missing?) but only cherry is palatable. Not that it tastes anything like cherry lol.

On a related note I can't believe caffeine free diet coke is still in existence.

You missed out orange which was available for a short time just in 500ml bottles but then disappeared. Wasn't nice.

I thought they were putting it in UK shops under their new name of Mtn Dew?! I've been looking everywhere, anyone know when it's getting a release here officially at the normal price. Along with all the new Pepsi designs, Crystal Pepsi, Sierra Mist etc?

Cheers.

Yes, that's why i don't understand a lot of people's fascination by it.

Someone mentioned the COLOUR of Mountain Dew....

That was the problem - one of the colurings was illegal here in the uk.

As for Vanilla Coke - Coke are just trying a whole range of flavours that allows them to reduce the sugars and sweeteners in their products without you really noticing. If it sells - great; if it doesn't sell...so what? Try another....all it costs is a new colour top and a new label, the bottles stay the same....
