I think Brendan expressed a quite reasonable opinion on the subject. The 'reporter' stuck in the usual 'ranted' etc. to try to spice it up and make it look worse.

The difference with James, apart from him being more vehement and less eloquent, was that he also accused John of wanting to make the show about John. That was an unwise thing to say.
If you accept the article Brendan did say that John had other things to do, which is a subtle way of hinting at why he thinks he left. Much more diplomatic.

It's probably a load of lies, but articles like this are certainly not going to cause the viewers at home to pick up the phone and vote for Lisa and Brendan on Saturday.

I agree with this, after actually bothering to read the article I can see he has just expressed his opinion really, no nastiness. Just shows you should always read within the quotes (though even then sometimes they're made up ).

You'd think, considering their obviously lack of public support, Brendan would have been more media savvy than this...

I don't think he can't help it can he; people ask him questions and he tells it straight

He is his own worst enemy really,
but I admire his honesty.

Have you actually bothered to read it or just the edited highlights?

As mintchocchip said (great name by the way!)
