Food Cravings
Porcupine

Do you ever get food cravings ? If so, what do they tend to be ? Sweet or savoury ?

I have a few that i crave from time to time. They are:-

Pizza
Galaxy Choccie (and i dont particularly like the stuff)
Frosties with skimmed milk
Vanilla Ice Cream with mixed nuts and choccie sauce
Cheesecake

So mainly my cravings are sweet. I just get the urge sometimes for a cheesecake. One with digestives on the bottom. They do a lovely raspberry one from Walls near me, and i will get one a few times a year. I could happily eat the whole lot myself.

Krispy Kremes - the only good thing about Tescos!

My husband and I could polish off a tray of 12 with several cups of tea!

All the time!!

Peanut butter on toast is a common one
Cheese
Cheesecake

and sometimes I get cravings but just can't work out what it is I want!

Is it a woman thing ? My husband never gets cravings, and looks at me like im a mad woman as i leave the house at 11pm because i HAVE TO HAVE a bar of Galaxy.

Maybe it is - something hormonal at least.

I mainly get savoury cravings - at the moment I'm addicted to raw cauliflower and crave it almost daily! If I do get a sweet craving it's almost always because I've got low blood sugar from not eating or whatever.

I definitely get cravings. Sometimes salty, sometimes sweet. And yes, I think it's sometimes hormonal.

I crave spinach and bloody steak - think it's a hormonal iron thing!
I regularly crave lentils as well and went through a phase of eating home-made dhal for every single meal (when my husband wasn't in anyway!)
Not really one for chocolate or sweets, but every now and then I have a real urge for a packet of Walker's cheese 'n' onion crisps. And a nice crisp apple.

I get cravings for crisps. They're not as popular in Australia as they are here and they're mmostly eaten at parties, we don't do the packet of crisps with a sandwich thing for lunch like you lot do. But it is something I've adopted with gusto I have to say.

For me it's always cheese. Very strong cheddar such as Keans.

oh yeah, i often get strong cravings, the majority of the time for sweet stuff.

for some reason i have been craving sweet and sour chicken and boiled rice from the takeaway this week, which is strange because i usually dislike boiled rice. i also ocassionally crave nutella and chocolate cake with fresh cream.

I often have cravings for Rice Krispie Squares and Monster Munch (pickled onion flavour of course!)
